The Definitive TWF Wolves XI Thread (1970 - present)

Yeah actually. I was interested as to whether you valued a hat trick v Albion or hat trick v Blues more. Neither did much else, though I wasn't entirely serious about Jason Roberts given 0 first team appearances.

Hence any of the various Roberts to play in the era mentioned are an unusual choice.
Iwan.

We just need a manager to take charge of this lot now. So, three picks apiece and we're done. Then next week we're on to the worst of the worst, get your thinking caps on over the weekend...

Mick McCarthy
Graham Turner
Er, er, er....I'll have to go with Kenny Jackett. All the others are too fucked up

Mick McCarthy
Graham Turner
Kenny Jackett

Dave Jones was a close 4th. Not keen on the bloke, but Cardiff and all that....

McCarthy
Turner
Jones (he was good for one season and did get us promoted in that game)

McCarthy
Jackett
Espirito Santo (on the basis that he's done nothing to piss me off yet, couldn't vote for any of the others).

Mick
KJ
Errr it may have to be Jones by default? The others are Hoddle, TC, Solbakken, Saunders and Zenga FFS

McCarthy
Jackett
Jones

Jones gets in by virtue of the other feasible options comprising of Hoddle, Saunders, McGhee, Solbakken, Lee, Lambert, Connor and Zenga.

I'll have to go

Mad Mick
Jackett
Jones - odd one as I remember going and singing Dave Jones' gold n black barmy army but I have NO recollection of Hoddle, who came after, when I started getting into football. But I suppose that's a good thing?? Maybe it was that horrible my mind blanked him...

I promise you, you missed nothing.

I think that we need a thread title change?

The Definitive TWF Wolves XI Thread (1986 - present)

Super Mick
Graham Turner
John Barnwell

Great thread but disappointing that the stars of the 70's didn't get a look in but that's democracy for you. A bigger disappointment is the left back who was chosen!

Given the team . . .

McCarthy
Turner
Jones

As for Bill McGarry it's a moot point, after all most of the players from the late 60s to the mid 70s he inherited from Ronnie Allen who has rarely been given the dues for what he started.

Mick McCarthy
John Barnwell
Ian Greaves (controversial, I know...)

McCarthy
Turner
McGarry (based on historical success which I didn't see)
