The Darts Thread

Immense from Cross and what a way to finish it with the 140 out.

Those last six darts sum up Cross' performance. 5 x T18, 1 x D16. Just outstanding.

Won't miss Taylor. If he does indeed retire, he's got bugger all else to do and can't do media stuff because he's a cock.

That is an awesome performance from Cross. Absolutely brutal. He barely missed a double and didn't give Taylor a sniff

Cross showing Taylor how to act, absolute class act. See you Phil.

When he took over Bristow's mantle he inherited his attitude too.

Twatting about on stage because he knows he's gonna be beaten and trying to make out he doesn't care.

Premier League:

Van Gerwen
Anderson
Wright
Gurney
Van Barneveld
Suljovic
Cross
Price
Smith
Whitlock

Price has no business being there at all, he's done nothing.

Agreed, who would you have had instead? Wade and Lewis were never getting picked (Lewis is 20 in the world now)

It looks a pretty weak line-up to be honest. Can't see past MvG, Anderson, Wright & Cross for the last 4

Van den Bergh for me. Or even give it to Jamie Lewis based on this tournament. Would agree you couldn't pick A Lewis/Wade/Chisnall at the moment.

Price made one final this year, fair play (beat Pipe, Pallett, Hogan, White and Norris to get there). He had one major quarter final on his entire career CV before this season. Third round here and beaten comfortably (he'd never won a single game at the Worlds before in three attempts). Didn't get past the second round of any other major tournament with a first round exit in the Matchplay and getting papped out in the groups of the Grand Slam.

Whitlock isn't a good pick either. Tbh they'd have been better off paring it back to eight, the format at the moment is too longwinded and leads to too many meaningless games, and if the players aren't there they aren't there.

They want the longer format though. 10 is too many but they want to go to more places with it so need it that long. Berlin is a new venue this season

Amazing performance from Rob Cross, still confused to why Taylor was acting like a bellend... not seen a whole lot of the crowd, were they complete bellends again last night?

The Premier League Darts line up is not the best with two cannon fodder players in Whitlock and price.

Crowd were a lot better last night. Obviously pro-Taylor, but very respectful of Cross. None of the booing on doubles etc. that had been going on previously

Proper darts has started on C4, baffling camera angles and gotta love that Thud. Like someone hitting a wall with a lump hammer every 2 seconds.

Have they showed an old lady knitting in the crowd yet?

I likened it to an elephant falling over in an empty warehouse.

Sounds like the tapping out of the rhythm on the slave ship in Ben Hur.

Now I have "ramming speed" stuck in my head! Should shout that at slow players like Pipe.

Is vaaaarrrrrnnn hunnnnenrd still there?

He is, didn't have the joy of hearing him as Adams v McGeeney just finished before I went out and he wasn't reffing that game. I did however see a photo of him on Twitter when they were trying out the board beforehand. I don't have BTsport so no further excitement this evening unfortunately.

I see there's a Welshman called Richie Edwards making his debut on right now.

So he's been practicing darts all these years since he went missing!
