The Darts Thread

Yeah he really should have shook hands. I just feel gamesmanship from someone at that level of the sport is unnecessary. They're good enough to win playing their own game.

Nothing in the rules to say how quickly you need to throw or that you need to stick to one pace through a match - and it wasn't like Barney was really taking the piss with it. Poor from Wade to get distracted by it and worse not to shake hands. Unlike him as well.

What?? Gamesmanship happens more the further up the ladder you go!

Just look at football, keeper taking kicks from the other side, players slowing down throw ins, changing corner taker.

As mentioned, you do what you need to to win as long as you're not cheating

Not like me to be unprofessional I should have shook Ray's hand I admit that,I just let things get in my head!

Well played RVB on to the next one huge thanks to my sponsors and everyone for the support

Wade has apologised on Twitter, fair play.

I was always told to play the board and not the man and have always done so. It always infuriates me when an opponent deliberately walks of the oche on the wrong side or takes forever to get their arrows out of the board.

Wrong side walk back is incredibly annoying. I will give you that. An extra fraction of a second removing the arrows can be done, but often it is really bloody obvious. The best thing to do is just take fractionally longer throwing each dart if you want to slow things down.

Who'd have though a game of darts could get so bad tempered. When I used to play league there were a few times things nearly ended in a punch up.

Absolute juggernaut darts that from MVG.

Brutal. At 5-0 Beaton had had two darts at double.

Lol. Lewis really is one of those guys who likes to make an issue out of nothing far too often.

Played Lewis. Best I've seen him perform in a while.

What a fantastic match that was. Shame one of them had to lose.

Saw Adams at an exhibition a couple of years ago and he was laughing and joking through that. Shame to see him go out. But no doubt he'll be back next year.

Fair play Wolfie. Approached it with the right attitude and played some top stuff.

I agree. If he'd approached it like Hankey for example, from the off it would have been a totally different ball game. To be fair the crowds have been good all week. Was there on Sat and there was a distinct lack of "premier league" knob heads. I think it helped that it was pretty much sold out to PDC subscribers before it went on general sale.

I have no idea how Barney just got over the line there. Game in the bag and he fell to pieces. Good stuff for a first QF that.

I really don't like the way Webster throws. Too much swaying about.

Plus he looks like a lad I used to know.
