The Darts Thread

Brilliant game going on in the semis of the GSOD. Taylor v Lewis. 180s flying in left right and centre. Currently up to 23 in just 15 legs. 8-7 to Lewis who has a 114 average and 12 180s!

And then Taylor goes and wins 7 legs in a row to go 14-8 in front and Lewis has done absolutely nothing wrong either.

Just broken the record for most 180s ever in a single PDC match with 32.

The Power takes it 16-9. Awesome match but when Phil puts those afterburners on no-one can match him.

The final is tonight against Robert Thornton at 7pm tonight. SS1.

Also the highest combined average ever in a darts match.

110.99 for Lewis, 109.76 for Taylor.

Great match. Sadly the final's set up for another Taylor walkover.

True. As well as Thornton is playing he won't stand a chance.

Well it's 5-0 up and pretty much all over already.

Thornton missed 9 darts to break Taylor in the first leg. 9 darts! And quite a few in that 5th leg as well.

Shocking finishing. Only Van Gerwen and Lewis have the mindset to take Taylor on in the big games. The rest of them fold like a pack of cards, Chisnall, Hamilton, Wade, Thornton.

Didn't the comms just say that Thornton's record against Taylor is 5-5? So he knows how to beat him.

He beat him in the UK Open final last year. Generally though he might beat him in floor events and round robin games....but not in a big TV game. That was a one off.

What a 164 finish that is from Taylor.

World Championship 1st round draw was done today Link

I've picked out the ones that are of any interest.

Kim Huybrechts v Ronny Huybrechts
Wayne Jones v Kevin McDine
Gary Anderson v Mark Dudbridge

Raymond van Barneveld v Jamie Lewis
Mervyn King v Darin Young
Wes Newton v Vos/Lam
Phil Taylor v Szabo/Mos

Simon Whitlock v Ross Smith
Dave Chisnall v John Henderson

James Wade v Darren Webster
Michael van Gerwen v Lerchbacher/Ward

Kim Huybrechts v Ronny Huybrechts should be an interesting match.

Never been to the World Champs. Might see if I can get down there for a night if I'm lucky

Ted Hankey withdrawn from qualifying school and back off to the BDO it seems.

I hope he doesn't go back, he seemed to be hitting a little form after the grand slam

Stephen Bunting has joined the PDC. Hopefully will have a good crack at it.

Blimey. That will be a big blow to the BDO. Don't think a reigning champ has gone over

They haven't - the likes of Webster/Barney/Klaasen all won it and then had one more year in the BDO, didn't win it and then moved over. He's the first since John Lowe who of course was a founding member of the PDC so it doesn't really count.
