The Darts Thread

Aiming to be a double champion then Quirky?

It would be asking for a miracle if I retained it. The company on show last year was exceptional. I got lucky in a few games against Jack.

Never had Hullis down as a great Darter but I don't know him personally so that's probably why :)

haha... double turn. Jack Regan must be a great darter then ;)

He can play alright. We had a great game as I remember.

I was terrible in our game and you should have beat me 2-0 if I recall, I got very lucky and ended up scraping it 2-1. The only time I played really well was when I hit a 14 darter against Leeds in the quarters. Quirk was a deserved winner as he hit his doubles in the final and I didn't. He also beat me in the group stage so no complaints from me.

Must say I'm missing playing now, getting on for two months since I last had a throw. Imperative that we get playing again in the New Year.

Well that was fun!!

Still amazed no one uses the bar to the left as you walk in, nice and quiet

Suffering a bit after two sessions yesterday. Some good darts though. Back down there next Friday.

Centre towards the front on what you would loosely describe as a table. Didn't think it was as rowdy last night as previous years. Once Taylor and MVG had played quiet a few by us buggered off.

By the sounds of it, the grand slam is missing Ted Hankey purely for the crowd aspect. I spoke to my brother who went on yesterday said it was a pretty drab atmosphere.

Hankey's playing. He beat Whitlock yesterday 10-9 after being 6-1 down.

I didn't watch that game so I don't know. He's playing Waites in the quarters tomorrow.

The crowds might be quieter. But the standard of darts has been better In comparison to the Masters in Edinburgh last week where the players got stick from the crowd and games were ruined because of it.
