The Darts Thread

Oh Waites is but he will be the best int he BDO for years to come. I suppose the 1st World Title is the hardest but he'll wrap up most tournament's he enters in the BDO because their is no real challenges out there for him other than playing second fiddles in the PDC
 
Just for the record Roland Scholten somehow made £18k on the PDC Tour last year and I haven't seen him on TV for well over 12 months.

I really don't get it, Waites could be a Premier League player in two years if he put his mind to it.
 
I looked at the PDC order of merit for 2012 the other day. Taylor is light years ahead on something like £760K, but a 5-9 ranked player can expect to make £150k-£200k

Scholten has been ill in 2012 and is just getting back.
 
Good to hear.

Just emphasises it even more, odds are he's missed loads and loads of events and still nearly matched Waites' earnings over the same period.

PDC Q School finishing up today - Kevin McDine has got his tour card back. He hit a nine darter in one of his legs today; I haven't double checked this but apparently there have been more 9 darters in this year's Q School than there have been in the last 20 years at Lakeside...
 
There were two other nine darters (Andy Parsons & Charl Pietersen) plus two missed on the double 12.
 
Awesome night at the Cleveland last night. I take everything back about O'Shea - absolute gent and a great bloke to meet. Mardle is just hilarious, Manley is great value and loves playing the pantomime villain and what can I say about Bobby George? Still got plenty of talent even if his back prevents him playing any more. He can still throw a mean dart and was just brilliant entertainment, especially after he had had a few!
 
Thursday league starts tonight and I haven't picked up a dart in nearly 2 months. Not the best preperation methinks.

I never stopped laughing all night and still sniggering now thinking about it. Bobby George is just a mad man. I think Mardle has gone up in my eyes as well an absolute entertainer. O Shea and Manley Ive always liked so they didnt disappiont. The darts on show was brilliant as well and Manley did the exhibtion double of the night, some great Harlem Globetrotter darts.

I highly recommend The Cleveland for some fun dartss.
 
I liked Mardle taking out 44 with single 11, single 11, double 11 all about 2mm from each other. Lovely finish that was. Shame he missed the 170 as well.
 
I'm off to the Winter Gardens in July for some World Matchplay stuff as part of a mate's stag do.

But was he trying the double double but missed with his first dart?
 
Are they? Cheers I hadn't checked yet!

Amazingly there are over 100 people going on this stag do (The stag has booked an entire Travelodge out for te night for £9k!!) so we all have to buy our own tickets as they won't let you buy more than 4 each apparently.
 
Friday night in the cannock league starts again soon. I can't wait to play again. Hopefully I'll pick up the high start trophy again this season
