The Cricket Thread

We absolutely cannot pick BOTH Willey and Curran. I'd rather pick neither but certainly you have to choose one if you really must, they are the same thing and it isn't very good.

The batting will always come off 3 games out of 4 or thereabouts, the quick bowling as per what's available is just a slew of averageness with an obsession with medium quick left armers

I mean you'd argue that if we can get them all fit, all of Jordan/M Wood/Woakes will play in the World Cup. So this is really just an audition between the lot of them.

Willey has been stinking out squads for seven years and counting, he has never been any good. A complete one trick pony, if it swings then he might be handy right at the start, if not then he looks like a club bowler. His batting is shit too, not that you ever need your 7/8 much in T20.

Scored a very good total. Had a shit attack. Willey is going at 12 a fucking over or something stupid.

A combined 14-0-134-1 for Curran and Willey in the series so far.

I'd imagine there isn't a team in any T20 format who has chased 200 and won with 10 wickets in hand before?

Rizwan and Barbar are two of the best batsmen in the world in any format.
To use Willey and SCurran and newbie Luke Wood as your seam attack is what's insane.

Salt missed a straight-forward stumping in Rashid's first over and things went downhill from there. Ali went for 21 in his one and only over and Rashid went for 34 off his 3 overs.

These things happen, but this was embarrassing and could have a lasting effect on the series.

It’s 1-1 and we smashed them up in the first game. Good series to look forward to

Agreed, but we've got to change the bowling attack to get one or both of their openers out reasonably early.
We need somebody better with the gloves, not a sometime part-timer. We play a top class spinner in Rashid and he needs a good glove man behind the stumps.

You'd hope for more cutting edge up front when Mark Wood is available. Well, if he's available.

Topley had a good summer too though I'm not convinced it wasn't a bit of a flash in the pan.

Willey and Curran are complete dross, especially in these conditions.

Pakistan win the Toss and bowl

England bring in Will Jacks, Topley and Mark Wood
Leave out Hales, Willey and Luke Wood

Still no room for Jordan Cox nor Tom Helm
