The only reason we were in a position to win the first test was due to way we put runs onto the board quickly. By rights, scoring at a more ordinary rate would have meant that the game was a draw due to the time lost. We have to win tests to win back the Ashes so you can defend the approach as we were in a position to win the game (the Aussies were at 10/1) when Carey was dismissed. I'd take bowling at 9,10, jack every time with 50+ runs needed to win a game.
This test has a different feel to it and we will just have to accumulate as many runs as is possible to have a chance.
