The CHRISTMAS Thread

Iceland's bags of sprouts smothered in Marmite butter selling for Christmas. I love both, but can't imagine the two tastes together. Especially not on a Christmas dinner.

Walkers are doing Sprout crisps... Expected them to be rank and they were

Not sure if they still make it but Declan Brewery used to make a Brussel Sprout flavoured beer. Wonder what leeds would make of that one!

Had the M&S No Turkey Feast sandwich- same general ingredients as the main Turkey sandwich, but with roasted soy protein instead of meat.

Actually pretty good!

Can't understand why any firm would produce something in Brussel Sprout flavour - given that half the population can stomach them & half can't then you are seriously limiting your market!

I read that Iceland are doing the sprouts in Marmite butter in the hope that it will sway more people towards eating sprouts. Cant see that working when half the population can't stomach Marmite!

Sainsbury's are doing not only sprout flavoured tea, but also pigs in blanket flavoured tea...

today i have purchased a packet of christmas tree flavoured crisps. I genuinely don't know what they'll taste like, but am intrigued!

Can't quite see how anyone knows what a christmas tree tastes of anyway - they could put whatever they wanted in there, no way would you know whether that was accurate!

They should consult my cat, it's a flipping expert on eating Christmas trees.

just opened them. quite an odd experience!
initially it seems like a ready salted crisp. then a woody taste appears, and as an aftertaste, seems quite pine like! it tastes a little like a damp wood smells, like outdoors. it really is a bizarre experience.

Did loads of Christmas shopping during my lunch break today.

It's mid-November. I hate myself a bit - I might still be drunk from the epic wedding I went to on Saturday.

Buying stuff when still drunk is not often a good idea as I know to my cost :paperbag_125:
