Summer 2026 Transfer Window Thread

Palace after J.Gomes & S.Bueno apparently.

Fuck them all. I don’t care where any of them end up.
At the show last night, seeing Mick, Matt Jarvis, Michael Kightly, George Elokobi and the fondness they are still afforded and what they achieved at the club and comparing it to the current day Wolves was like night and day. We deserve better than the shit we have now

Refresh my memory - why are we singling him out? Because he moved to Stoke?

Told the press that he was grateful for the club for sticking by him through all of his injuries and that he wanted to stay.

Ah ok, vaguely remember

He was speaking last night of how he loved being at Wolves and someone in the crowd shouted out 'why Stoke?'. He replied 'Stale Solbakken'

Yeah it was kick in the teeth at the time but when he explained it, it largely made sense. Not that we would have known at the time so we were right to be pissed off

Hate to see Solbakken catch a stray. Odd one, too; Peszko was kind of Kightly-esque (note: I never saw Kites' pre-injury seasons). Also wasn't Pulis still at Stoke? Pan => Fryer and all that. Also, still rude.

I have some questions for you, Mr. Kightly! 🧐

All fell apart when Peszko got injured.

I don’t think we would have gone down under Solbakken, but it’s clear his man management (or how he dealt with that squad) wasn’t great

Peszko was a fucking pain - he refused to travel to one of the games because he was going to be on the bench.

I’d have refused to be on a bus with the idiot who was managing us at the time.

Your namesake was manager at that point, IIRC. So I'm giving Slaw the benefit of the doubt there.

Moot really how Solbakken could have done; I liked him but he didn't do enough to keep the job and can have no real complaints.

God, was that the reason??

We've employed some shitheels since 12/13 but fuck me if Saunders isn't still the worst of them.
