Summer 2026 Transfer Window Thread

Thing is the average PL salary is 60-80k pw, so we are only paying him to be an average PL starter, so it's not the salary itself that's the issue, it's the quality of the player we give it to.

Isn't he our joint leader in assists this season?

(With a mighty 2)

Yeah... but Neves, Jota, blah blah blah.
He even did the deal for Arias back to Brazil 6 months after he came from there, Agbadou in and out in 12 months and JSL, even though both Sporting Directors worked together for years. The bloke is a leach and because the diktat comes from above Shi II his review, if it's ever published, won't change it. Not the agent for any of them who will also need to take a cut. That's why we still lose money despite selling our best players.

Fosun money moving from a Fosun owned company to a Guo partner 🤔

They can't in the sense that some people mistakenly say they can
Well if Mendes has taken 10% of all those deals including Gomes that's somewhere in the region of £13m that's gone somewhere. Then you have the likes of MGW, Cunha and whoever else, before you even touch his own clients

All completely true. But people seem to think they can sell all our players then transfer the money to themselves, which they can't.

I don't believe that's true.

Anyone who took the time to read the emails in the German media a decade ago would know exactly what the plan was.

It's not as overt as writing themselves a personal cheque, but money still leaves the club to Guo and Mendes.
