Summer 2022 Transfer Window

This is where not buying a midfielder last summer is really going to hurt us. Imagine is Sanches had a season under his belt with us to learn what we are about, replacing Neves with Palinha then works. Replacing Neves and Moutinho (and maybe Dendoncker) is so difficult to get right and gelling by early August.

Semedo has been in the press talking about how he'd like some of the out of contract players to stay, we've created unneeded upheaval throughout the squad by having so many positions to replace.

Even with the best scouting it a club replacing large swathes of players usually has a more difficult season than the one before.

Sanches would have to be verging in a genius to work out what we’re about. I watched most games last season and haven’t got a clue and none of my mates have either!

I was in a make believe world where we'd employed a manager rather than letting Big Jeff make decisions from the exec suite 😂

MGW linked with a £20m move to Southampton in the papers this morning.

If an offer of £20m comes in, I expect Shi to sell.

There’s a bit of “crystal ball” predicting here but I reckon selling him for 20m would make us look as though we’ve had our pants pulled down in a years’ time (on the basis I anticipate he’ll be excellent, he was home grown and we didn’t invest the money wisely).

I’ve also seen that apparently we’ve allowed Bruno to up his offer for Palhinha which further indicates issues in our purchasing power.

The issue for me is what we do with any money, when we receive it.

Would I sell MGW for £20m? - personally, absolutely yes, but I have absolutely no faith in how the money would be spent.

Our recent Silva purchase shows we will spend £35m on not very much (another argument) but there is no money in the pot for either a CM or CH - both of which we have all been pleading for.

We also have a manager who has actively gone out and bought Hwang and continues to play him in front of players with ten times the ability (including most of us)

And all that leaves me nervous about actually getting rid of anybody.

It appears that we have a board and a manager who have absolutely zero idea how to spot talent - which is a massive worry given the “exodus” we are all hearing about.

"Zero idea" is a bit over the top, to give them some credit they installed Olympiacos's goalkeeper instead of Portugals number one which at the time seemed barmy but in hindsight............., Trincao will be a top talent, one day, somewhere else,

Given the money Norwich got for Buendía I think 20 million would be a bad deal, I get there is a cavaet that we have previously seen MGW so might deem last season differently as a Club.

Rashica (spelling?) looked like Norwich’s most dangerous outlet to me.

We don't want any players off Norwich or Watford. They're awful.

From Burnley, Tarkowski isn't worth the wages he will ask, I would take Cornet as he's better than Podence/Hwang/Adama/Fabio and £17.5m for someone who's a decent age and scored 10 goals in a crap team looks good to me, but others disagree. Pope will find a club, we don't need a keeper though.

Oh yeah. Being as I said it wasn't a bad idea the other day I probably have to stick with that :D

Their other "better" players are still gash though and we don't want anything to do with them.

I'd take an interested, fit, Sarr over any of our wide forward options except Neto not convinced one exists though

It's Nixon, so will be made up. Agree re the £20m though
Today he says Forest for £20m
If there is anything in that I think he'll force the move.
Local, as big a club and a manager who believes in him

Be an awful shame if we lost MGW. Could be great as a 10. They seem to really hate him on the Mix. I think we've really fucked him about.
Molmix is a bit weird, a few weeks ago loads of people were clamouring for him to come back, then a few days ago someone posted he'd said he didn't care whether he played for Wolves or another team, so they all got annoyed and started saying fuck him off.

You can't really blame him tbh.

Such a bunch of childish twats, we'd never do that on here...
