Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I remember Alun Evans with his winsome, crooked smile and foppish blonde hair scoring goals every week for Liverpool, then we went and signed him! Wow! I thought we were big time doing that.
Wasn't he the first signing to break £100,000 pounds or something?

Er. You might have that slightly wrong.

Ah Yes, just looked that up. Thanks.
Oh and it looks like I was about 17 years old...

Yeah will sold Alun Evans to Liverpool. We played them after we sold him and that beat us 0 - 6, I think he scored a hatrick we had an idiot in goal (Boswell)
The crooked smile came fro him having his face cut from ear to mouth while he was in his wife’s Father’s nightclub.

So looks like Diego Costa will be a wolves player by hopefully tomorrow hasn’t played for a while but maybe just what we need up there obviously not the player he was at Chelsea but could cause opposite defenders problems big and strong may be a handful still at 33
How fit does he need to be to punch Mings in the balls?

Only have to look at the media attention to answer that. You could argue Moutinho but he didn’t play in England and isn’t controversial like Costa.
There’s more media nowadays though isn’t there. I’d say in these parts Costa would be seen as a bigger signing, just due to what he’s achieved in the prem, but obviously Moutinho was a huge signing

Ivan Zamorano wanted no.9 at Inter but it was taken so he wore no.18 with a small '+' between the 1 and the 8
Akinbiyi did 5+5 at Leicester when we sold him didn't he? Think a rule change was brought in to stop that happening as a result.

Surely he's getting Palace wrong here, not Wolves? 🤔🤷‍♂️
It's tangential Wolves. A module I plan teaching at a mediocre university one day.

I remember when we signed Joleon Lescott off Everton, £5m seemed a gamble for someone with an iffy knee but the talent was clearly there. This was us back in the big time nonetheless. I forget what happened afterwards.

I just don't get the love for this signing from many Wolves fans, he's gunna be shit. We just need to get a semi competent coach in to get more goals from the players we've got already.

Yay, two random words together, you know what that means,
Tangential wolves, in session later, here’s half man half biscuit

In anyone on here’s lifetime, is he the biggest named player we’ve signed? (Could say Irwin/ince but in relative terms that wasn’t when we were a stable prem team)
Signing The Doog from 1st division Leicester back in March 67 when we were in the 2nd division?
