Summer 2022 Transfer Window

If he has a few options you'd think he would like the idea of being 3rd choice and maybe getting into our team

Maybe if you hadn't treated Boly like a cunt for a year, he wouldn't have left. Twat.
How did he treat him a like a cunt?

He was injured and struggling heavily with long covid for huge parts of the season. At times he couldnt train for more than 1 day a week. The back 3 we were using were pretty solid and Boly got in the team towards the end of the season.

A hundred things to throw at Lage but not picking an unfit player isn't one of them.

There was one time in December where he wasn't on the bench and he came out with his usual bollocks of "something is not right but I can't say now". He never did get round to saying.

Just ignored him for months when he WAS available to play.

Do you think Willy Boly respects Bruno Lage? I do not.

I have no clue if Boly respects him or not. I guess if he was not a fan he would have walked last January when he had the chance.

Just not buying Lage treated him like a cunt. I just think that, as happens when a manager is unpopular, everything is hyper-analysed to find a fault to justify why he has to go. Happens with every single manager, gets a bit pointless really.

All I know on Boly is he spent large chunks of last season unavailable and our 1st choice back 3 in his absence did a decent job and it took one of them getting injured for him to force his way back in. Rest is guess work and a bit

Life is just easier if you simple accept he isn't good enough rather than digging to double down on his ineptness

Since when have I ever wanted an easy life :D

I think Boly wanted out to the point that he refused to turn up for a reason. Nothing about him in four years under Nuno indicated that kind of character.

On wanting out. He knew he was 3rd or 4th choice. Had an offer in for a starting spot and decided after a wasted year (of being treated like a cunt...) he didn't want to waste another year so wanted that. Unfortunately he had to act the bastard to make it happen as the club were "no replacement, no sale". No clue if he would have done the same if Nuno had still been here and had made him a squad player.
Not a fan of players who do that but then we have just signed 2 players who went down the same route

Not like Lage to put down his own players in the press. Classless.
As much as people don't like Lage he's not lying. There is a big gap between Kilman/Collins and Toti/Yerson. People on here saying the same. 5 games in the PL on the latter, and only one of players have played in the PL. If one of Kilman/ Collins was injured i'm sure we'd hear the chorus of "we have no back up CB's".

Not sure if it's all correct

I need to check when she is back at work on Thursday, but I think Alfie Pond is the nephew of someone I work with, am sure it's him as she was excited to find out I was a football fan when I started last year and was telling me about her nephew, and the name rang a bell, although that could be a FM thing.

The point is you keep those thoughts to yourself.

You don't tell the press for those young players to see/read/be told about.

It's morale 101.

He also said he is very happy with all his CB's but if an experienced option is available they have to look at them as we are probably 1 short in that area.
Depends on how you/the journos cherry pick his comments.
He didn't come out say "we need to sign one because if I lose one we are in the shit...have you seen the back up options!!" He responded to a question regarding signing a CB and having to cancel a loan for Mosquera.

Polite enquiry to anyone who can confirm/ clarify. There was a lot of rumours floating around with these two young lads from South America being heavy linked
Did these develop into anything concrete or just an excuse for a jolly boys outing by the scout? 🤨

Osorio looked like it might happen. But his club ultimately decided not to sell any of their players this window. I imagine we'll be back in for him.

Perrone, no idea. Went very quiet on him other than the initial interest.

One of them had a collapsed lung so is probably still plugged into a wall at some hospital, pissing into a jug (depending on the severity of the pneumothorax/collapse).

Shit ain't fun.

With two divorces under my belt, I know this period very well. Every single thing he does or says will make you angry, whether it's right or whether it's not, and the percentage of fans that are in that place is climbing quite rapidly

You've definitely encapsulated my feelings here. Just looking at him winds me up now.

When does the loan window close? Or is that Goalkeepers only?
