Summer 2022 Transfer Window

This might not be great

Iiiiiinteresting.

Wonder if Fosun got wind of this and that's why there was the seemingly sudden change of heart on spending this window.

Premier League clubs are set to face restrictions on spending on transfers and wages for the first time
For the first time?!? Did I just imagine previous FFP rules? (I know some clubs just ignored them...)

Think it's 70% of income, may well have been why we've seen a bit of spending this season before it comes in. As always it's just to protect the status quo.

I admittedly haven't read the full thing (paywall) but there's a chance they're being tricky with the wording. Probably something like this particular combination of restrictions has not been implemented before.

I don't think Boly, Saiss, Dendoncker are a great loss. (Not bothered about Hwang one way or the other but don't think he is as bad as is being painted by most on here) I'm not disappointed to see any of them go.
Sad to see Coady go but understand the reason why.
The signings we have made are excellent on paper and exactly what was needed.
I'm prepared to give Lage a couple of months. He has now got his own squad so it's down to him to make it work.

Agree with most of your post but going to have to disagree on Hwang. He's one of the worst PL footballers I have ever seen.

I tell you if these football people really rate him I must know fuck all cus he looked shit the minute he arrived

I was about to ask if anyone can think of a non-jokey reason why. Thought I'd have a quick look on Leeds forum. Didn't realise he'd worked under their manager, so guess that's the only answer. Their forum did mention shirt sales ha.

Stuck the ball in the bottom corner against Newcastle last season nicely. Plenty of energy and enthusiasm. But like Adama a liability in your own half and difficult to fit into a 'team', could be useful as a battering ram or wrecking ball down the middle in certain circumstances, but not a foitballer.

Some managers have a real thing about signing players they know. Look at Cooper - nothing was going to stop him signing MGW. It's all good though!

He's lacking in every single basic attribute required in a Premier League player.

I don't rate Adama at all but he's stratospheres better than Hwang. Hwang reminds me of when we played Jake Cassidy or Frank Nouble in the Championship, just so obviously miles out of his depth.
