"Hi, come and sit on our bench and never play"

Hell of a pitch.

Wouldn't you say all managers who win a league title are 'aided by' their best players?
One player, and despite being the biggest team in Portugal, presumably with lots of other good players, their form when he left was bad enough to get him sacked despite the previous run.

You're still not getting anyone any good to take that gig.

We are not going to spend money on a fourth choice midfielder, are we.
If we go 4-3-3 permanently I think we would.

One striker and one midfielder, we really should be looking to limit João's minutes to get the best out of him and that isn't with Donk as 4th choice.

Take Joao Moutinho's name out of your fucking mouth.

Age is still undefeated, unfortunately.

I'm not a Lage cheerleader, but they hadn't won for a couple of years before he did, and pretty sure they haven't won since. Allow the bloke at least some credit for his single achievement! 😅

Whether or not Ramos is real it would appear Newcastle will be out of the picture, they are (reportedly) close to signing Isak

Seems like just Southampton with any kind of serious link at the moment

I'll save you the absurd number of ads (sorry Liam) Comments turned off for this one..

The club received a flat fee of £25million for the 22-year-old but several add-ons could see it rise to £42.5million. Now, the Express & Star understands Wolves will reach a fee of £35million based on several add-ons for the number of appearances and starts Gibbs-White makes for Forest.

It is expected to take at least two seasons for those appearance add-ons to be reached.

In addition, Wolves will receive a cash injection if Forest avoid relegation from the Premier League this season. In total, surviving relegation and completing the appearance add-ons will give Wolves an addition £10million. It is also understood that some of the more unlikely add-ons include Forest making Europe.

Meanwhile, Wolves also have two sell-on clauses based on the profit Forest make on Gibbs-White.

If the player is sold in the next year Wolves will receive 15 per cent of the profit, from the money they have paid Wolves at the time. After the first year it then drops to 10 per cent of the profit.

For example, if he is sold tomorrow for £40million, Wolves would receive 15 per cent of the £15million profit Forest will have made, as none of the add-ons will have come into effect yet and Wolves will only have received the £25million flat fee for him.

However, if he is sold in two years’ time for £50million, and by that point Forest have paid Wolves £30million for the player with some add-ons activated, Wolves would receive 10 per cent of the £20million profit Forest made

Totally agree.

The minute he walked off the pitch, the game changed and it was like the life was sucked out of us…….him and Neves totally ruled the park first half.

In swapping Joao with Donk, we got a player that offers plenty of running but absolutely zero in possession and, up to that point, we looked great with the ball.

We suddenly became a running, workmanlike outfit and handed over the advantage to Bentacur and Hojberg who - up until then - had been largely shit.

Owen Coyle, Aidy Boothroyd, Phil Brown, Brian McDermott all say Hi. All had 1 season wonders with unfancied clubs but slipped into mediocrity very soon afterwards.
