Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Is it just me who thinks it would be an odd career move. Does Neto get in their best side?
Potentially. But a likely 5 year contract. Double his salary. If he doesn’t get played as much as he hoped would probably land back at a mid table club. Depends what his aspirations are

If Neto is concerned about a potential lack of minutes on the pitch at Wolves ,then surely he'll face the same problem at Arsenal .

Also - it's all very fine buying this Austrian lad , but unless we get regular crosses into the box / or balls down the middle , then it's for nothing . We must get bodies into that box on a regular basis .
Guedes chance early on against Spurs.......pounced on a ball , drove forward well - but was surrounded before long and had no one to give it to ,forcing him to shoot sooner that he would have wished .

Potentially wanting to generate funds from a fairly well stocked area to
Improve an under stocked area would be a direct correlation, if that is the case

I know you're talking about what the club considers 'well-stocked' rather than yourself, but I'd be less bothered about Neto going if we didn't still have Hwang, Podence and Adama stinking up the place

I dont disagree with you (although the current incarnation of Neto is nothing to be excited about) but yes, the club would consider guedes, podence, hwang, adama as being well stocked, 4 players for 2 positions.

I’m all for keeping Neto, and think once he gets minutes under his belt, and abit of confidence then he will revert the the player he was pre injury. I’d still be tempted at 50mil to sell however, but would want a replacement Ofcourse

If he’s concerned about lack of minutes at wolves and not backing himself over what we currently have in those positions, I’d be worried about him mentally tbh

Lage talked up Campbell last week too. I wonder if his comment on getting 2 to 3 more in was in the knowledge Neto is out.

Hopefully Traore is binned as well. Can't be doing with having Podence and Traore as our right wing options. Championship level crap.

He has a 5 year contract currently!

Combine the likelihood Adama won't fit into anything Bruno is trying, and that he appears to have left his 'fucks' in Barcelona, and he needs to be first out the door.

I'm not a fan of Podence, but as a bench option for now it's not the end of the world, and let's be honest Hwang is going nowhere any time soon.

If Neto goes I wouldn't want any of them as a regular starting option to play with Guedes and a striker/Raul

If there was a queue at the exit I'd rather Hwang, Podence and Traore were ahead of Neto, but in reality that's the Neto I want him to be and not the Neto he has been for quite some time now [both pre and post injury].

Feel it's a bit like Jota - a fee, if it's £50-60m, we couldn't realistically turn down [for someone not currently pulling up any trees or guaranteed to start every game] and an opportunity we can't deny the player [if we're to continue attracting young elite players to an unfashionable (not London or Manchester), provincial club]. Like Jota though, I think we'll look back with regret.

Chasing two strikers........are we playing two up front now ??

I'd be very disappointed if we sold both of MGW and Neto in the same window.

It'd leave Podence and Guedes as the only suitable wide players. Traore and Hwang aren't players you can rely on. Traore in particular should be sold before Neto.

So far hasn't seem like anyone has wanted to buy Adama...

I think neto will be exactly the same as jota when he calls for the move he’s gone

I don't think there's a chance we'll sell Neto this season. Difference between him and MGW is Neto is happy here, and signed a long term deal. MGW wouldn't sign a deal and wasn't happy here. Makes a big difference.

People still don't seem to be able to grasp this.

"Sell Adama" doesn't work if no-one wants him. And they don't.

We'd happily sell him this evening if any non-joke bid came in.
