Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Moffi seems a bit of a different style option to Raul which I like. Could even play them as a pair if chasing a goal.

I mean technically that's in line with the other reporting, just that part of that £17m is more likely than others

Really unsure on Moffi after watching a video of his. Just get the feeling he doesn't have a great first touch or particularly good ball control. And that's his highlights.

For £22m or similar we could get Ajorque and he looked better to my eyes.

Why not both? Different styles of player from what I've seen/read. Ajorque definitely looks like a more accomplished CF and goalscorer, whereas Moffi looks like he's quite direct, quick and strong. Both would give decent options.

Because we don't need two strikers. Jimenez is fit again and both Guedes and Hwang can play there too if necessary.

True, though from what I understand Guedes is better as a wide forward rather than a central one and Hwang shouldn't be anywhere near the first team ever, he's rubbish. Jimenez has to show he can be the player he once was and maybe isn't going to be around long term because of his age, so having succession plans in place is good forward thinking. Obviously we have Fabio to come back hopefully a better and more confident player too, which would put is in a strong position going into the next 5 years.

But yeah, I guess for now 1 or t'other is better than nothing.

confirmed, also confirmed he refused to sign a new Contract.

rather let him.go now than for nothing

This from the Athletic. Nothing we don't all know here, but it's interesting to see it bundled like this:

From 2016 to the present day, Wolves have spent around £450m on transfer fees. They have brought in 65 first-team players either permanently or on loan in that time.

Of that £450m, it is estimated around £330m has been spent on players who are either Gestifute clients, or are in the Mendes network (like the Talent Thrones agency run by Cardoso), or in a deal facilitated by Mendes. That covers 43 of the 65 players Wolves have brought in.

Percy saying Everton tried to hijack the deal at the last minute and matched Forest's offer, but ultimately MGW wanted to play for Steve Cooper again and the deal with Forest was too far down the line.

I was thinking about this yesterday - would it not be a shrewd move to bring in both an experienced striker and a younger striker?

It wouldn't be the end of the world to have 3 strikers competing for 2 spots this season after Jiminez is fit. Jiminez is also likely to get injured again at some point this season, if previous seasons are any indicator.

Thinking medium to long term - I'd be surprised if Raul is still here in 2 season's time. Assuming that Fabio pulls up trees, that would leave us with him and whomever we sign now.

we have a young striker, what we need now is a striker ready for action, to replace Jiminez
