Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Who would pay £12 million for right back Coady or midfielder Coady? I think it is the right deal for the player and the club.

If we revert to a 3 at the back, it is probably Collins in the Coady role. It's Coady's last big move, it will set him up for life and he will be warmly.welcomed back after Everton have made it permanent.

I wanted a new defender, new midfielder and new attacker...all first team ready. Looks like we have 2 out if 3 and if Neves stays I will overlook the lack of midfielder (but would like one still)
Why do people keep quoting the £12m? Apart from wages and maybe a loan fee Everton aren't paying anything unless they choose to

Some are saying its structured so that Everton have to buy him if they stay up.

And if they choose to it is (reportedly) £12 million.

Nor sure why it is an issue for you what other people do with stuff they have read on the Internet and want to comment on.

Yeah that's the issue, I get this might be my Sheffield centric side but having watched so much of Gibbs-White last year I wouldn't have wanted to effectively swap him for Guedes despite knowing little about the new addition.

If MGW exit means say an additional couple of signings on top of GG then I would take that, even if its one bigger signing and then a much lower project/rotational option player.

Yeah, that's a tough price to turn down. But then what? 40m in the pocket and Chem Campbell on the wing?
Guedes replaces him position wise. As it stands I think it would be like for like next week. As Deano says it doesn't fix anything depth wise, but I suppose you are replacing a questionable contract situation with a solid one. Talent I really don't know.

Guedes + £13M I suppose. I'd take it. I don't really want to see Gibbs-White leave but there's no way we can turn down £40M.

£40m please. We're all willing to see him get his chance but say he turns out to be mediocre at this level and we regret turning it down. As long as that £40m is reinvested in the team then its too good to turn down

I guess this is just illustrative of how unenthusiastic I am about Guedes (or Adama, the poor bloke).

Fucking wacky that we might get for MGW the same amount we were being offered for Neves.

Even if it's £30m guaranteed in the bank and £10m in add-ons, I'd still drive Gibbs-White to Nottingham myself for that. He's got bags of potential, but you can't be turning that sort of money down for him.

Well, it would be a test for the backing Bruno part.

Yes he said £50m but he said it because he also said we sell MGW he needs 2 players in. It would be ludicrous to get 1 extra body in then ship out another but we do ludicrous so well at the moment
