Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Exploited them how, we don't have massive power in this negotiation. Coady is 4th choice now and he's pushing for a move because he wants to play therefore we need to move him on. Whereas Everton could move for any number of players instead of him.
12m is naff all and they clearly want him.

Are you happy with 12m for Coady?

Tough one as his role and effectiveness is tied directly to a back 3 it feels like. Keeping a player you almost never want to play or put out from the bench, except for a wholesale change in system, isn't ideal.

Yes, he's a very limited player who is only ever going to work for a specific style. The pool of sides who would even consider him is miniscule.

We’ll I’ve never seen Guedes play but I hope he’s better than you lot seem to think he is!

I'm not really that concerned because if it's a loan with an option not an obligation then it means sell to buy has to be bullshit.

This conversation's reminding me a lot of when we sold Doherty.

Coady's apparently pushing the move- he's not relevant to our current plans, so he goes with our best wishes, IMO.

Given our squad size and evertons recent injuries, their desire to play 3 ATB and their need to move quickly £12m feels light.

Personally, I'm not fixated so much on the price, but the likelihood of actually getting nothing for a player who has been pretty much an ever-present until now. Prefer to avoid that if possible!

If we ever see £12m for him. Looks just as likely we make our squad smaller, bolster another PL side and they hand him back at the end of the loan
Yes it boggles belief, especially if its such a low fee. Everton are desperate at the minute with injuries to Mina and Godfrey.

Some reply Twitter actually made me laugh when they said its like saying "go ahead and shag my wife for a bit and drop her back when you're done".

That concerns me too, seems like we're the ones taking the risk rather than Everton.
