Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Theoretically, £30 million could be two or three really good players who could really make a big difference to us, and we could wish him goodbye and good luck.

If you've got faith that we'd invest that money wisely, though, you're less cynical than me.

Well if he’s in the squad saturday then it’s bullshit, and we will find that out tomorrow evening.

I think it’s a load of bollocks but nothing would shock you at Wolves now.

£30m doesn’t buy you a lot anyway these days. Particularly when you have to replace him for starters.

We shouldn’t need to sell him to fund anything. He’s one of our brightest young talents and we could be potentially letting him go to a newly promoted club. It’s ridiculous.
This for me too, big fan of Forest and delighted when they got up due to the personal connection of losing a friend last summer who was a Forest STH, however in the markets we seem to be in we aren't getting anywhere near the profile of player that MGW currently seems to be.

30 Million would not be worked into 3 quality players when you look at the transfers that have happened, especially when you factor in our apparent cage on wage spending for new additions.

And if he wants to go, which I think is the main reason if he went, what can you do ?

Yep, everyone is for sale, that's why we are going to be here with a number of players until the end of the window

If, and that's a big if, that we need to sell a single player to fund incoming transfers, then I'd rather it be Coady or MGW than anyone else in the squad.

MGW is still unproven and could be great or really average. £30m+ for a player who could potentially go either way makes more sense than someone like Ait-Nouri who we know is only going to get better and better.

It seems to be a pretty obvious scenario to me. If Bruno doesn't pull a Maitland-Niles on him, he'll sign a new deal with a significant bump to his salary. If he doesn't feature, he'll put a transfer request in and we'll end up with a £15m asset rather than a £30m asset.

I guess we're about to find out where the too good to turn down threshold is as well.

The obvious risk is he doesn't deliver and he averages out as a £10-£15m player with only a year left. Personally, I'm willing to take that risk, and I think the club have to be seen to be willing to do so too if the RAN, Neto, MGW style players are where we're now going in the market.

I think MGW leaves before the end of the window there are too many signs and reasons why it would happen.
