Summer 2022 Transfer Window

As I say, not shitter than nothing and not shitter than Benteke, Hwang 1 or probably Hwang 2, but if that's the bar expectations are now very low
If you were expecting Icardi then maybe.

But I'm not sure what folks expect.

I'd be happy with Nico too but I think Uncle Jorge is just using us to peddle his wares.

There's a sizeable gap in realism between Icardi and Batshuayi. Brereton-Diaz for one sits in there, he could burn out completely and be worse, but the ceiling is higher. Give Chelsea a bigger loan fee and get Broja would be another.

We have two fit full-backs. Selling one of them isn't a very good idea right now.
For clarity, I don’t want to sell anybody.

It seems though, that it’s got to happen before we can strengthen.

So, by getting the sort of money that transfer would generate, we’d be able to buy the two or three quality players to finish anywhere near where we’ve finished in the last three seasons.

Here in lies the issue with continuing with such a small squad.

I have reached the stage where I would pretty much take anyone of the calibre of Michy Batshuayi.

I understand those having resevervations about him not being an upgrade, but would take him because we look like a couple of injuries will lessen the quality of our starting 11, more than it would picking any two players to be missing from any other sides presumed starting 11s this weekend, would weaken any of them.

I’d be happy enough with Batshuayi I suppose. My expectations have been lowered so much that I’d just be relieved he wasn’t somebody worse tbh.

If rather BBD over Batshuayi too but Blackburn apparently want £25m

Blackburn want to give their heads a wobble if that's what they want. Didn't he score about 17 or 18 of his goals before Christmas? So one good half season in his career, less than 12 months left on his deal, £25m 😅

Batshit isn't it?

He did pick up an injury in the 2nd half of the season.

It's a decision between selling and keeping for his final year and pushing them into the Prem. Get promoted and not selling for £10-£15m was the right call. So, if selling get the highest amount possible.
Only lose that ability to get a high fee if Brereton demands to leave

They'll sell, they can't afford not to, just depends when and for how much

Is Batshuayi better than Fabio? Genuine question.

I know she doesn't have a blue tick, but assuming the account is genuine she's not likely to be making stuff up. I'll wait for it to be official before commenting further though

Should hear from Liam on this shortly...
