Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I wouldn’t look to sell Coady, still has a part to play IMO.

However, if someone at the club comes out with him being our new midfield option, il be rolling my eyes at a very quick rate

Has anybody got any idea on Coady's injury ? It was widely reported he was struggling through 2022 with injections etc, which would provide a plausible reason for his drop-off. I thought he was generally very good initially in that more aggressive role, rather than as a sweeper. He's obviously not had surgery given his England call-ups, so hopefully it was something that just required rest, as we can't carry on with him looking all at sea.

No clue. But even more so having another first team ready option is great allowing us to rest certain players/manage them etc abit better

I think was ankle related wasn't it? Definitely seemed to be affecting him back half of the season.

If my uncle’s client is to be believed then “I have it on good authority Coady is going to Everton”. That was about a month ago, thought it was a load of bollocks. Maybe waiting to get someone in first or could just be bollocks of course.

I mean it's Everton and they habitually do daft things, but having witnessed in the last 12 months how quickly the tide turns when you employ someone with very obvious ties to Liverpool and it starts going badly, I can't see it.

Plus they do at least seem to be starting to pay lip service to their financial situation. Paying £20m (?) for someone of Coady's age and profile on a 3-4 year deal wouldn't make a lot of sense in that context.

They do look like selling at least Richarlison & Gordon for decent money. Kevvy T link too - I bet he LOVES Coady

I say this because Twatter says he's from a relegated team so surely he's wank...
My Twitter feed has been overwhelmingly positive about it and I’ve seen a fair few Burnley fans furious that he’s going for £20m (not that they could do much if there was indeed a clause in there if they got relegated). It must be the people you’re following, Quirk!

On Coady, absolutely no chance we sell him I’d have thought. Unless Everton come in and offer £30m off the bat but surely even they’re not that stupid!

It's a stupid stance anyway.

Presume fans at other clubs would say no thanks to Neves or Neto if this season goes to shit

Neves and MGW on the plane too. At least they are not leaving imminently.

Is Nixon still saying £30m?
Refusing to say he was wrong "wanted £30m when I spoke to them yesterday"

For them I presume he means a random guy walking by Turf Moor who happened to answer the nearby pay phone Nixon was calling
