Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I'm not giving them ANY benefit of the doubt. I'm merely stating that the upturn in Palace business came with the arrival of Vieira.

They will finish above us. I would bite your arm off for 16th about now.

Think there is only us Fulham and Leicester not to bring any players in now so far isn't there?

Brentford, Chelsea, Everton and Man Utd haven't signed anyone either.

That will teach me for looking on Transfermarkt where for some reason they class returning loan players and incomings.

We've got loads of those!

Transfer kings by that measure.

We needed some major fucking surgery even if we keep Neves and Moutinho. I'm not having these cunts spin keeping the same squad and adding a couple of punts as being a good window.

Would he? On a fortune. Lot of injury issues.
He's a good player.

Leicester bought in Daka and Soumare over the last year and they have a fully fit Fofana and Justin this season. I expect them to do well this season with Daka getting better. They've improved an already good squad.

By contrast we bought in Hwang ☹️

Right now I would expect Newcastle, Villa and Palace to finish above us next season without too much difficulty, we currently aren't catching anyone that finished above us in 2021/22, I don't see "we're 13th" (at best) being much of a rallying call. "We're 8th" didn't even paper over the cracks to anyone who bothered examining it in any depth. Which apparently doesn't include our owners, a cursory check of the league table appears to be about the measure of their involvement.
That would make the bottom 7 Wolves, Brentford, Leeds, Southampton Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest. One of the promoted sides will do better than expected as it happens most years. Leeds have a weirdo as a manager and are going to lose their best 2 players. Brentford depends a lot on Eriksen's decision, without him and the newbie factor they'll be in trouble. Southampton had a similar end to the season as us, but have done some business

Soumare doesn't look very good. We'd be raging if we'd bought him and he'd served up the same here.

Chelsea aren’t the point there. Leeds being significantly weakened is far more pertinent.

Adama crossing the ball over everyone to Dan James on the one wing for him to belt it back over everyone to Adama on the other. Can't really see it or them paying him £100k pw but we live in hope
