Summer 2021 transfer window

European Summer tournament is a stupid idea in most of Africa - basically means you could just about play in some parts of Southern Africa only,
If they can play a World Cup in Qatar they can play anywhere. Just get FIFA to install Air-Con in the Stadiums, like they promised for that World Cup...

22/23 Season is going to be shite. Going to be a huge gap in the League games between November and December. Nations will want their players 2 weeks before the Tournament Starts and if any get to the Final, well that is the 18th December and then they come back to play 8 games in 72 hours (well that will be our schedule again)

I love the Afcon so am a little biased - seems a cast iron reason for a proper mid-season break.

Can’t do that as we have the mid season break for Qatar the season after. There just isn’t going to be schedule space.

Afcon is a summer tournament now.

Edit - I see it got revised due to Covid.

Didn’t realise Kristoffer Ajer only has one year on his contract left. Probably able to get him a lot cheaper than in the past couple of years when I’ve been led to believe we’ve tracked him. Sign him for £10m or less and still sign another centre back IMO, especially now we know we need cover during the middle of next season.

Alvaro Vazquez probably leaving Real on a free. I'd have a look tbh. Depends on wages obviously.

I do of course mean Lucas Vazquez! That's trying to do three things at once for you.

Qatar weather in December/January is like a nice summer day here. Varies between 18 and 22 deg C in the day,and 14 to 18 deg C at night.

When it was awarded it was a June/July tournament. That's when they used the air con stadiums idea.....then finally realised having a corrupt World Cup on the Sun was wrong so they moved Country...sorry I mean the Tournament dates.

What's gone wrong for him there, do you know? Aside from Real being a nuthouse at the moment.

Andre Silva has scored his 22nd goal in the Bundesliga today. Odds we get linked with him yet again?

Yeah, I think the last time he got anything vaguely right about us was our interest in Abraham in January 2019? Even then he claimed we wanted to buy when it was a loan we wanted IIRC

If you want a Raul backup who'll be accepting of his role, then that's what it looks like

Can we get a foreign version where we can all pretend to know about him, build him up as the greatest forward going, go crazy over his YouTube highlights then watch him once and declare "actually he is shit" rather than jumping straight to the shit bit the moment a crappy rumour is put out there.
