Spurs 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Couldn't think of a coherent response so go for this haha. Bless.
I think you should wind your neck in a bit, and honestly it was the response you deserved.
Spurs away is a tough gig to get anything. They are not a shit team. We lost a really tight game 1-0, and bossed the first half playing some decent football. Collins made 1 error in the match and we paid for it because we can't score for toffee at the moment.
Instead of 3 games in, and remember 3 games in last year we had zero points, you saying a laughable "Bruno out", maybe you should be discussing how our play is much better than a lot of the games last year? We have a very new and young side now. We all pretty much know what we need before the transfer window.
I'm happy what i am seeing, and with the players we have for the main squad. We need a couple more of quality.

Thought the new lad in midfield had a good game, but I still can't make out what Podence was doing - movement like an Otter. Overall feisty display and we are a neat footballing team - just lacking an edge. Ideally we're looking at a result at places like Spurs and well it's just a case of getting to forty points or whatever it'll need. The days of challenging for fourth seem to have passed.

10 is and that’s since we last won and don’t state it was last season so doesn’t count yes it does he was in charge and let things turn into a rabble at times.

Well it's not 10, cos your point is based on countering the assertion that 'it's a new system', which it wasn't last season.

That's fair. Although Raul did make an impact but playing shit like Donk kills any impact he may have.

We definitely need a forward and midfielder for João, of take RLC and Michy Bats at the moment rather than dreck like Donk and Traore.

That is definitely an issue, I'm more concerned that when we get the ball in the final 3rd we have little to no ingrained movements to open teams up, it's always so maverick. That to me either says our forwards can't grasp it or the coaching is poor. Considering the quality and football brain players like Podence and Neto have shown previously I lean more towards the latter.

You're not going to get your wish.

It's only 3 games into a season, when we're playing a different system, integrating new players, and still haven't seen the transfer window close or a new striker brought in.

I'd say he'll get the 11 games after the window closes before the World Cup, then they'll pull the trigger but only if we are in or around the bottom three. If he does go it'll be no sooner than when we shut down for the World Cup IMO, which would be an ideal time to regroup and get a new guy in.
Will he heck.

So if we have 0 wins from 8 games (which would be 3 wins in 22) he'd stay?

No chance.

It just makes you look like a simpleton so it doesn't bother me.

I'd hope it was better than last year, we've spent £100m, it's still as ineffective.

I know Collins lost Kane for the goal, and let's be reasonable Kane has done that to a LOT of good defenders, but I thought Collins was otherwise superb as was Kilman. They look a quality CB pairing.
Collins wasn't superb. He had some very good moments but also 3 or 4 where he was a bit of a mess. Potential is there but consistency is everything for a central defender.

Really. Says you, the bloke who is saying bruno out after 3 games. Ok then.

1 game. Its been 1 game with all the new signings. 1 game.

He hasn't been manager for just one game though. I don't have the memory of a goldfish, he's had more than 12 months to get a tune out of some very good footballers and he hasn't. We still look disjointed when we get to the final 3rd, if he can't do it after a year he never will.

Remember he is 21 years old. And the team is the second youngest average in the PL.

Right you are. So we're just going to completely ignore switching from 3 at the back to a back 4, gonna completely ignore integrating 2 new players into the midfield/forward line and pretend that we are exactly the same team as last season? Gotcha. In that case, Bruno out...

41 league games.
I get that argument I do but it is a new formation and style.

It took Potter a while too, if it's still the same at the International break I'll be in the same boat as you.

The positives are we do look really good in possession, defending and in transition. We have a 4-1-4-1 feel to us when the first XI is out there.

He should be getting an attack coach in as he clearly can't do it.

I don't understand the point you are making here?

It's a lot of money but in PL terms it doesn't guarantee anything. I would hope Jeff has his feelers out on a new coach. There is a good group of players to work with.
