His receiving skills are weird. In a 352 he picks up good positions on the right inside channel yet is always facing where the ball has come from.

Adams on for Diallo for them. So might make the midfield slightly less difficult to deal with but with more threat up top

I have a hard time gauging how good this Perraud guy is. Giving us problems without really... Doing anything.

Southampton bearing a striking resemblance to us in the first three games of the season.

We'd look exactly the same cos we don't get our striker into good positions and don't feed him enough
was thinking more of speed and doing things on their own

Not the most convincing of stats. They've spent plenty of time around our box, had lots of corners, and put plenty of crosses in. But we've defended well as usual and Sa has made a couple of good saves.

We are definitely missing Neves in the middle but Donk is doing ok. Trincao really needs to get a bit more physical and put his foot in a bit and use his shoulders. Traore will be on soon for him IMO.

I don't think it's even about physique or being competitive half the time with Trincao he's just casual and lose things because he isn't really trying hard enough to avoid losing the ball.

Was one after a Wolves corner broke down, Moutinho I think recovered the ball and played him in down the channel. He just sauntered towards a defender with the ball who then stepped forward and took it off him like it was a loose ball, no real attempt to beat the man or anything just walked straight into him like the bloke wouldn't even consider tackling him.

It's only one person's responsibility for the striker to get in good positions, if they're not there then it's their own fault.

Trincao has the unteachable ability to instinctively know how the ball is going to react to everything he does.

Unfortunately, he seems be conversely as bad at judging what a defender will do to get it off him.

I think we’re always going to serve up this kind of performance when Neves isn’t in the team. Donk just isn’t capable of retaining possession and bringing other players in to play like Ruben. Moutinho has to effectively do it all by himself.

I’d be looking at Adama for Trincao quite soon otherwise they’re just going to keep coming at us.

Southampton look like they could cross the ball into our box until next week and not score.

Oh dear, would have been the icing on the cake for Toti, that.

I can't say enough about how impressive of a debut this has been from young Toti Gomes. Still time to go but he's been flawless defensively.
