Their reserves are still fookin good...although for 1 second I was wondering why they were playing Carlton Palmer!

As discussed elsewhere, going for the guarantee of ex player = goal (chances increase the shitter the player is)

It's why Southampton have signed Frank Nouble for tomorrow

He's sounding more & more like this guy by the minute:

Lopetegui press conference vs Southampton

- Lemina feeling better - decision tomorrow
- Hwang out 4-5 weeks
- Neto progressing well, taking step-by-step, will review today
- Joao Gomes, doing very well, close to being ready
- Boubacar Traore 2 weeks away

That’ll be a blow if Lemina is out.

Even if everything goes in our favour, we can't move up by more than one place, but there'd be a great opportunity to put some daylight between us and the bottom five. Lose, and we could be dragged right back into it. This is another huge game for us, but if we play like last week it's a challenge I believe we can rise to. We're around 6/4 to win, but I'd say it's more like even money. (EDIT: unless Lemina is unfit 😟)

Lemina not being able to play will change things . He has started really well and if he is not right then it's unlikely they will start him .

I'd start Gomes, we've no-one else who can do the role Lemina did in the last game. Perhaps we don't need that here but it worked really well in allowing Neves to get further forward.

Lemina's on that picture isn't he? He's been training to at least some extent this week.

Don't think he has played for a while . Might lack match fitness .

Bit nervous about this match . We should win based on from , decent signings , good Manager , good away record under JL ( City aside ) . However whenever you're playing a bottom team you know that they're desperate , they're at home and can dig in if they don't concede early .
Regardless of what the players relationship is with the Manager none of them want to get relegated .

I'll happily take a dirty / gammy , flukey 1 - 0 .

We could plant trees on the pitch and they’d still be faster than Saints’ midfield.

Lemons missing the match ain’t ideal but we should be beating them either way, really.

Obviously they are good. But back ups in the cup play less than the sum of their parts. Lack of match practice, unfit players, poor familiarity etc. and more the case for other sides such as Wolves against poorer opposition, poor mentality.

Don’t get me wrong if we had beat them I’d be taking it. But I don’t see it as a massive shock that City team might lose an one off away tie to a PL club.

Yep. Six defeats in seven in the league and no clean sheet in the league since October 19 (their only one all season) are far more significant statistics.
