Lupo, most people agree that he ranges from 'a bit shit' to 'completely shit', so you're largely preaching to the converted. But knowing the fact that he's not going anywhere, there's very little point in waffling on about it.

I think he's shit. I am pleasantly surprised he managed to get Julen over the line, and that he's backed him in the window. Obviously that doesn't undo all the shit, and I'd rather he wasn't here, but there's no point in me busting a blood vessel over it

There are a fair chunk of Man U supporters who never wanted the present owners to set foot in Old Trafford and all that has gone on since - both on the field and off it..........but they are still there , discontent or no discontent .

Years ago when the owners of clubs really cared about the sporting success of the club and the standing of a club itself , the views of supporters mattered a lot more and had impact .
Nowadays it's all about the bottom line - their own bottom line - and when they can flip it . Supporters views will still be heard , but they have far less impact .

Jeff has had different stages in his time with Wolves.
Always worth remembering though, he is here to grow the name of Wolves. Not just the club. Fosun work on expanding brands to improve their worth, so while the eSports, Music, attracting "fans" from across the flat earth can be annoying, that is his job. He just totally lost control.

Stage 1 - A guy who had little clue on the football business but was like an excited kid and under the spell of Jorge

Stage 2 - Calmed down a little and let those who know about things run the show (when the likes of LD were here)

Stage 3 - Got a bit cocky, thought he had learned it all and also wanted to make the fans like him "This will be a great transfer window" (Spoiler it wasn't)

Stage 4 - Decided he knew more than others, so in one way or another got rid of them. Put himself as King of the World, signed players and surrounded himself with yes men. All this played its part in getting rid of the best manager we have had for fook knows how long. Nuno wasn't in a great place anyways and that was reflected on the pitch but KIng Shi ensured he was happy to get binned. How Scott got promoted above his level, how we ended up with price rises and how it felt like the club was flicking the V's at its core fans

Stage 5 - Bit of a flip back to Stage 1 but with Jorge now the puppet master. We get a manager not because we want him but because Jorge said so (he did at least let Scott look his folder so he could say yes boss, he is the man).

Stage 6 - A thumping realisation of what he has been doing since stage 4. Admittedly only came after Beale said no. I think Beale says yes and he slips back to Stage 4. Thankfully, despite a lot of positives on getting Beale (maybe we were just desperate) we got JL.
JL has smacked the club around and Jeff has responded. Restructured some of the behind the scenes stuff, with Scott being sent packing.

Hoping he has finally got what his job is about again. Go back to August, if we had signed Gomes, under similar circumstances Jeff would have been all over the social stuff, the videos, pictures, interviews. Not a peep from him.

If he we stay up, he goes back to speaking once or twice a year. He surrounds himself with better, more informed people then he can grow the brand etc like he is meant to do and not get in the way of what JL and his team are doing.

Big moment coming when Vinny is released from whatever cupboard they now keep him in to reveal prices, for whatever Division we are in next season. Since JL arrived (and that is on Jeff) the club feels transformed and back to how it should be. Lets see

So just for Lupollet - Is he a good Chief Exec - if he sticks to what he is good at, yes. If he tries to do things he isn't good at - Fuck no.

He has spent too long trying to do the stuff he can't and was fast tracking to the sack but may have just saved his job with his latest manager appointment.

Interesting time coming

Interesting time coming then...
If we stay up, with these fairly expensive but exciting players and we keep rising up the table, exactly what the ticket price may increase to...
I'm sure there's a table somewhere that shows PL clubs and how much thy charge for games/season tickets?
Where we are now and where do we think we'll be when we stay up fighting for a top 5 spot and trying to get Neves to stay (having enriched his contract by fuck knows how much!.... AND some of the others!)

Everyone makes mistakes. Some people are
negligent (due to incompetence or dereliction of responsibilities).

- buying Fabio Silva from his Dad?
- sack nuno appoint bruno?
- scott sellars?
- legacy fans and esports?
- price rises?
- don’t sack bruno?

the guy hasn’t got a clue and he doesn’t even realise it.

negligent.
out.
now.
Do you give him any credit for appointing Lop, or was that nothing to do with him.

It was bad enough having an increase last year but if they whack up prices in the middle of a cost of living crisis then they deserve every bit of shit that comes their way.

At some point they will find the breaking point of a lot of fans on pricing and I would say they are not far off it right now

If we went down I honestly wouldn't be that shocked if the prices remained the same as they would probably just say you're getting more games for the price.

Moxey Ticket Pricing 101

I think it was Norwich who put their prices up after relegation. Thats a double kick in the bollocks "sorry we were shit but how about you pay more to watch us play Rotherham instead of Man City"

And, conversely, would Lop have joined to serve under someone he thought wasn't up to the job? He strikes me as a man who would be as meticulous about due diligence as he seems to be about everything else. I can imagine the appointment process involving him interviewing Jeff just as much as the other way round. I think Kenny sums it up well, and Jeff has hopefully seen the error of his ways. Apart from which, he knows the club, Ian; he knows the club.

I'd say it's more about him defining the parameters of Shi's job as per Kenny's stage 6. He wouldn't have come and worked under the same restrictions as Bruno the patsy did

I agree Kenny has summed up very well. I was more just highlighting the extreme anti Shi post, which I get but you also have to look at it rationally and give credit where it’s due.

I’m sure I’m get the response that the appointment was nothing to do with Shi etc, as it fits said posters narrative ….

That's what I meant by him interviewing Shi: 'If I agree to let you employ me, I'll need assurance that I can/you will do x, y and z.' As you say, he'd have been setting the agenda as much as Jeff, I should think.

Love to the family Ian, love to the family

nothing whatsoever. loppers was pre-ordained as part of the takeover dealing by Jorge. Jeff tried to avoid him this time round by offering the job to ‘12-games Beale’. if Beale has accepted then Everton would have Loppy now and we’d be as good as down.

Not true though is it as we offered the job to Lopetegui before we approached QPR for Beale.

You really do need to check the history of information that is in the public domain. All you are doing here is making yourself look fucking foolish.

Interesting. Everything the club does wrong is Jeff’s fault, and everything they do correct has nothing to do with Jeff. Gotcha.

i’m very foolish - make no mistake about that. i’m right about Jeff though 🙂
