Lage made watching us a complete misery and he very nearly completely undid everything we've achieved since 2017. He was also a total prick. I'm not just going to write that off and say 'ah well, what can you do'. And whoever was responsible for hiring and then retaining him is culpable too.

You can enjoy our start (and it's only that) under Lopetegui and still be angry about what we voluntarily did - all while charging supporters more and more money for a product that was steadily getting worse year on year. They are not mutually exclusive.

People need to stop worrying about or bemoaning Shi / Lage / even Saunders .

There is nothing anyone of us can do about it . It was a mess , it isn't right now . We have the man we always wanted and he's meeting a lot of our expectations in his short time here .

Enjoy the ride , life is way too short for anything else .
Get in the bin with this patronising shite.

No I won't , I'm sticking to my views . There isn't a single club out there that has not made bad mistakes with appointments and ended up losing 2/3 years over it . What makes Wolves so special that we shouldn't make those mistakes .
I wasn't happy about it either , but I have no intention of allowing it to dominate my every thought .

I could moan and groan about it all day long , but it changes nothing .

I'm not denying anyone else out there their different point of view , I'm simply saying that there is an alternative one .

Best close the forum then, it's irrelevant whether we all think Cunha should play up front instead of Raul, Lopetegui will make the decision and he'll never read this so what's the point.

Not sure where you're going with this.

I'm not denying anyone their right to be angry . There are however other points of view as well , which have a voice .

Just expressing a different point of view - that's what a forum is about .

I think the forum is brilliant by the way .

What is your point though? "Don't worry about it because you can't change it and it's gone"?

What are we supposed to be talking about then?

Also I really hate playing this card, but when we're that bad, it seriously does make a difference when you're using up tons of your spare time and spending a lot of money watching a bin fire compared to closing the lid on your laptop at 5pm after another limp 2-0 defeat with no shots.

We havent had much building of strawmen since Cyber left. It's like an old comfort blanket

If something is wrong, then rather than passively accept it, you should explore what positive steps you can take to implement change. This change could be about how you frame internally the issue. However, it can also be a force for good. Charities, pressure groups, and inspirational people are usually motivated by wanting to right a wrong.

Equal rights movements, anti discrimination movements, the current ecological movements are all examples of people being dis-satisfied with the status quo. History shows us numerous examples of people being told "this is how it is, you must learn to accept it", and they didn't, and stood up for their beliefs in a positive way, and introduced huge positive changes to numerous peoples lives.

I am please Mandela didn't accept his situ, listening to people telling him there was nothing he could do about it for example.

What positive steps can Wolves supporters make to implement change at the club? Ultimately they don't hold any power to make any change unless the people who own the club want to placate them.

Look at Ashley's reign at Newcastle, he just did what suited him and didn't give a fuck what the fans kicked off about.

They can to a very small extent. Look at that Membership Plus nonsense that Vinny tried and failed to get away with.

Ultimately if a manager is shit, the fans hating him will accelerate the process of getting rid of him. Although somehow that didn't apply to Lage, he got no stick at all at home games despite being appalling. Was quite strange.

I think you're looking too deep into what I was saying .

I'm completely in agreement with you and pretty much everyone else on Lage and how poor he was and how the club went backwards as a result . However - for some strange reason that I could never really understand we were never in any danger last season re relegation , in fact at one stage we were nearly 6th off the top of my head .
I wasn't one bit happy with the situation , but I also know that as a supporter I am pretty much powerless . I was also aware that Fosun were never going to accept relegation , so I was always pretty certain that Lage would get the boot once August proved fruitless and then September the same . My main concern always was the quality of the replacement .
Owners these days listen far less to supporters than they used to . The Premier League is so lucrative that - in a number of cases - if they can stay in it - they are happy .

It's not that I accept mediocrity , it's more that I just don't have the time to be overly concerned and even if I did , sure there is little I can do anyway , so why overly concern myself re something that is not life or death to me personally .
It's as simple as that .

I completely see where you're coming from and others , I just have a different slant on it - which is allowed last time I checked .

You're dead right , it was quite strange . Very little booing or chanting against him .

It will only accelerate it if their league position is rubbish .

Not disagreeing with you re the non sporting points . I'm referring to football only .

I'm honestly not having a dig, just it's still pretty raw for me and a few others.

Mind you I'm still upset that we sold Mark Burke and that was 29 years ago.

Everyone makes mistakes. Some people are
negligent (due to incompetence or dereliction of responsibilities).

- buying Fabio Silva from his Dad?
- sack nuno appoint bruno?
- scott sellars?
- legacy fans and esports?
- price rises?
- don’t sack bruno?

the guy hasn’t got a clue and he doesn’t even realise it.

negligent.
out.
now.
