Rugby World Cup Japan 2019

Fiji need to watch their discipline. They can’t afford to spend swathes of the match down to 14.

Time to replace Biggar. His head's gone

edit: Gets injured

Wales have also had two yellows, and the shoulder charge on AWJ was not on the neck/head, so no red, IMO.

That should be game, set and match.
10 mins left.

It’s going to be a bonus point win but the injuries are piling up.

It was at his face

Didn't see that one, mate. The only one I saw hit him on the back of his shoulder when he was on the floor at a breakdown.

That was a really tough game as Fiji turned up for this one. Well played Wales.

Reports that Scotland v Japan will be cancelled due to the impending arrival of Typhoon Hagibis. 2 points each and Scotland will be out if it happens.

World Rugby have announced a media conference to discuss the impacts of Typhoon Hagibis on the tournament for 04:00 BST on Thursday morning.

Alan Gilpin, Tournament Director World Rugby, and Akira Shimazu, chief executive of Japan Rugby 2019, will be there and "no further comment will be made at this time

It was just before the second Fiji yellow card, when Wales were camped on their line. AWJ took the ball round the side of the duck and got a shoulder pretty high up.

Hearing that England v France is off, but can't get a definitive source.

That would probably suit England reasonably well. They would win the pool.

If the Scotland game is cancelled they are completely fucked. Plus Ireland could end up winning the pool and dumping Japan in against the All Blacks (I think they could - it depends on bonus points, etc, etc)

I have calmed myself from earlier. I was really REALLY frustrated about those first minutes. Fiji were always going to start fast, and Wales didn't deal with it well at all. Just glad the bonus point win is in the bag and we can plan for a quarter against the French (unless England fuck up assuming the game is on). Our recent record against them is pretty damn good.

Losing Biggar is a pain in the tits. Sounds like the Davies and Adams knocks aren't that much to worry about so we will hopefully be at full strength bar Patchell in for Biggar.

For me, the tournament properly starts now.

Would be very Harsh on Japan, they could absolutely do the Saffers and get to the semis.

News conference tomorrow morning at 4am regarding the typhoon.

England v France and New Zealand v Italy off

Japan v Scotland goes ahead as it stands but that is subject to change.

France now get a nice break of 2 weeks before their quarter final. Wales to play Uruguay 4 days after playing Fiji and then 7 days before their quarter final.

Remind which of the 2 finished top of their group

We’ll have a shadow side out against Uruguay. Shouldn’t make too much difference
