Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

According to Daz Hale it was a charity event hosted by Ikeme. I agree the optics aren't great, but there is mitigation.
Ikeme was on the card. These optics didn’t exactly fill me with confidence for the game today when I saw them late last night.

Karoline Leavitt would blush at the spin the looming Fan Forum will churn out. While the credulous will suck up the key message (next season will be a challenge and therefore mid table is a success), the reality is the best we can hope next year is that we’ll fight relegation rather than plan for it.

I’m not sure I can face more home games. Edward’s performative apologies to pin the blame on anyone else might be too much to bear.

It's a ballot through WM with no pre submitted questions. Fans can't control the answers, but they can the questions. Daz was going to the likes of the Freight Rover Trophy games away at Tranmere back in the day, he's not a patsy although obviously he'll know what side his bread is buttered.

Fosun made a bold decision is sacking Lambert and appointing Nuno. That's the type of decision we've got to hope they'll make. Otherwise we'll be letting Edwards go in Nov/Dec and risk writing off a season, putting enormous pressure on the second season.

AKA - Jorge told Jeff to

At this point you have to say that Nuno and those players were the outlier, it’s all been shit since.
There is a clear line in the sand on where it went wrong.

Start - Jeff, man whose football knowledge was knowing Jorge Mendes & Walter Zenga, had people around him who knew what they were doing (even if we didn't like some of them) - Jorge, Mr Darymple, Kevin 5-3-2well etc.

Slowly Jeff fell out with most of these people as they wouldn't be yes men. Then Covid happened and Jeff went full on control freak, he knew everything and you disagreed, off you pop. From that point, we were doomed. Absolute miracle we got this far before relegation happened.

I look forward to Nathan's review of the club which is due to land just time to prepare for next season....in September 😵‍💫

If we get lots of comings and goings early on, I'll be optimistic for next season. Regardless of who comes and goes - it will at the very least show awareness and willing. The one advantage of our situation is that we can start preparation before anyone else.

If, as seems likely, we have a big turnover of players the most important person is the one who has to get them hitting the ground running. There’s no evidence to suggest Edwards is that person. I just hope we leave plenty in the pot to give the new manager something to work with when we sack Edwards in November.

We should have been preparing from the moment we took Rob on, and even our January window shows us what the club thought of our chances. It's hardly been up in the air till late April.

We won't take advantage though

I thought that the offloading in January would be the start of building a significant fund for the Summer. Then you see the state of the accounts, losing money even with the Cunha and RAN sales in there and realise all it did was fill the financial hole left by the shite we signed in July and August.

Doesn`t sound like the Wolves way, does it?
