Whether you agree with that statement or not, what happens if they don't? We're now going into a month where we play 6 times including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United twice. If we fail to pick up a win against Forest or Brentford then we could be on 4 or 5 points going into 2026. What happens then? Do we start to think about sacking him? Do we give him a chance to try to bring in a few of his own players in January and see if that improves results? Or does he stay regardless?

Its hard to judge yesterday's performance because I don't think any of those sides give us as easy a ride as Villa did yesterday who I thought were really poor but still cliched a "got it done" 3 points with their only two (individual) moments of quality in Martinez and the goal

Luton were plucky under Edwards, very few blew them away, I remember them pushing a few of the top sides but ultimately lost and I expect that to happen with us. Lose games we'll bemoan we could've drawn and draw games we "should've" won.

As shite as we are, Leeds & Burnley are just as bad and they have 11 points already. If he's 8 games in with only 2 or 3 points to his name you've got to think about it surely?

All Jeff's talk about a 'club reset' says to me Edwards is here to be a nice guy and bring some 'feel-good' factor back (this is Jeff's thought process not mine), missing the point that being a minor ex-player, knowing all the kitchen staff and the old lady who's been here 30 years and having a nice smile is still not as much of a 'feel good' boost to the club or fans as winning some fucking games.

He'll take us down, hopefully with a little more respectability than Vitor and co, and will be part of a modest Championship reset. So, regardless, he'll get two windows and probably be sacked 12 months from now

I don't think that edwards will go this season, regardless of the results tbh. I'm exceptionally doubtful that we're likely to do any meaningful business in january either tbh. Loans and/or journeymen is the best we can hope for.

Plucky spirit, and beating the promoted sides is about all we can hope for between now and May I suspect. Jeff going is the unrealistic ideal that we want.

Remember when people used to lol at watford and how bad they were with manager appointments? We're as bad. Nuno is a clear outlier.

We are simply unable to make a decent appointment to the most important position in the club! We lucked out on one occasion. All the other appointments have zero strategy behind them, being cheap yes men in the main.

Absolutely no way he gets sacked, regardless of results for the remainder of the season. We've already seen a slight improvement since he took over - and there's only so much he can do with this shite squad.

Nuno was also total chance - Lopetegui turned us down and (much like most of our best signings under Fosun) Mendes was able to float us one of the people within his network. Zero chance we would have sought him out otherwise.

We didn't win a league game for 6 months under Vitor and he was still here. RE isn't getting sacked this season.

As long as his relationship with players and fans doesn't do south (as both did with VP), he'll be fine this season
