Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

Still no official announcement. Makes you start to think if it is really going to happen.

Probably Shi can't be arsed to approve the annoucement.

It’s happening, still finalising I think. Watling is coming with him. Apparently Danny Alcock will be the GK coach.

ITK or just vibes? Been out of the loop a bit.

It’s certainly a lazy link for a journo to make, like Talisca or whoever else.

Doesn’t really matter who the goalkeeper coach is whilst the three they have to work with are Sa, Johnstone and Bentley.

They’ll be dragging their feet over announcing it officially while the media team put together an AWESOME unveiling video. Personally, I CANNOT WAIT!

😴

Just been chatting to a mate I golf with who’s a Boro fan, sits in the family stand with his lad, said once teams figured out Edwards tactics they struggled and he didn’t have much of a back up plan so he’s quite relieved he’s gone. I do rate that Hackney lad that plays for them, got serious game and could easy step up to prem.

Rob Edwards would be blamed for the immigration problems from most of the Boro fans at the moment.

Shi probably realised that Edwards can't go back to Boro now so he reduced the wages on offer by 50%.

Second hand stuff but seems pretty reliable to me.

Edwards on course to be confirmed as new Wolves boss today

Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:

Rob Edwards is on course to be confirmed as Wolves' new head coach today.

Final contractual elements are still being tied up for Edwards to join the Premier League's bottom side from Middlesbrough.

Harry Watling is set to join his backroom staff as assistant coach from Boro.

Edwards has been in talks with Wolves since Saturday after he was stood down from Middlesbrough's Championship game against Birmingham and given permission to speak to Molineux chiefs.

Middlesbrough stand to make somewhere in the region of £3m-£4m in compensation.

Edwards will take over a side winless in the Premier League on just two points.
