Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

Live like a winner - new Sudu tagline for 2026!
You'd have thought we'd have quietly dropped the "Fear Nothing" tag, but no, it was still emblazoned on the video walls last night during the game.

Wow. Definitely didn’t see that coming!

Good appointment - feel sorry for him having to come into this shitshow though

Confirmed by the club now. Looks like a pretty good appointment, out of the blue as well. Wonder why he hasn't gone to West Ham? Nuno hasn't taken any backroom staff there has he which is strange.

Also do we just call every coach asssitant head coach now? We have three of them.

I think that must be West Ham saying he has to use the staff that were already there (most of them previously working in their academy).

This time next month Rui could be in charge here anyway

Looks like we’re not content with enough unwanted records and could be going after the most number of ex-managers still on a club payroll as well.

In a season of utterly depressing shit this RPS news has excited me more than it should

Chink of positivity, I'm thinking this is a club appointment rather than an Edwards appointment though??

Pleased to see it and not looking to be funny. Is it that he never moved from the area and just has no other job? Still a good appointment. Would rather he were the manager and Edwards the assistant.

'Only the harshest of critic could lack sympathy for a group of honest professionals who have been left high and dry by the summer recruitment work'

No idea what he's on about here.
