Relegation Thread 2023/24

I have read that but it's a very limited CV. I'd put him under unproven still, even if there seems to be potential.
3 years at Vellecano with a promotion and cup quarter final.

Compared to GoN he's like Poch.

Of course you probably think big Ange also has a limited CV.

Billing was very good last season have Brook coming back to form and Scott to return from injury.
Solanke isn’t the worst forward either, Rayo Vallecano did very well last season Iraola and played some good football fair to say they’ve improved their first team coach.
What’s your evidence for Chelsea walloping them?

Will Brooks even hit the levels he has previously, never mind improve on them? I hope he does but unsure. Same with Scott, is he going to make the step up?

I've no evidence, just an opinion. Primarily, Bournemouth have conceded 2 or more in 4/5 games so far. They seem to be playing quite high up the pitch defensively against Jackson who is great running in behind.

The latter has won league titles in various countries so evidently not.

As I said, Chris Wilder seems a good comparison.

The GoN comp is an interesting one, had a full preseason, spent over 100m and a point behind. Levels.

They’re still stronger than last season and have a better head coach. Brooks has started the season well.

I'm unconvinced, in the games I've seen they've not looked much better but it's early days.

Dyche has now won 9 of his last 56 Premier League games.

Not had the hardest of starts either Fulham (h), Villa (a) Wolves (h), Sheff Utd (a) Arsenal (h).
Only has 1 point if you’re an Everton fan you’d have been hoping for about 7 points from that and minimum of 5.

Yep, if you are playing the TWF game of matches only count if they are against sides who are going to finish around you in the table then they've played 2 versus our 1

They have blown some early points opportunities. Their October to Christmas run is horrendous

A Forest win (eugh) is probably the best result for us today. They have looked quite a bit better than I expected so far, meanwhile Burnley look naive and out of their depth. Right now seems like it will be between the promoted three and Everton and Wolves.

Fulham and Bournemouth need adding to the list. Fulham have beaten Luton and Everton to look OK table wise for now and Bournemouth haven't beaten anyone.

I'm sure you'll get it right one day

It shows the absolute dross in the league that after our shit start we still hover around 15th. For as poor as we and O'Neil seem if we can't finish above at least 3 of them then we deserve everything we get

We're miles behind Fulham and Bournemouth on actual play. Fulham drew with Arsenal and Bournemouth have only lost 2 games to our 4. They were good value for a point against Chelsea.

We are so far behind everybody with the current manager it's unreal we e done this to ourselves.

Yes but we haven't yet achieved his 'vision' of what we should look like and he's busy undoing all the 'mess' he inherited from the former bloke who shalt not be named

Wouldn't say that's true about Fulham. Very lucky to beat Everton (much more so than we were) and Luton had by far the better chances on Saturday. They're still pulling their trick from last season of what should be an unsustainable match between results and actual performance (or a Lage, as people in the trade should call it now).

The bottom of the league is crap and the worst it’s been for a while which gives us some hope.
This why survival this season is just a stay of execution.
Simply being I don’t trust Jeff and Fosun in their BS letter to the fans that it’ll all be ok come the summer.
Secondly players of any quality will want out if we survive just.
Thirdly the 3 that go down will no doubt be replaced by at least 2 of better quality.
