Another mauling for Bournemouth yesterday. If they lose to Everton next week you'd imagine Iraola will be on the hot seat. Could be Lopetegui rolling up there?

A few of their fans on Twitter yesterday saying they’re foolish for sacking O’Neil… think it’s probably because they got a drubbing on the day we beat Man City, though!

Surely he's not that mercenary 👀

And even with the money behind them, you wouldn't say they have a better mid-term chance of a 'top-half charge' than we do?

I think they'll go down, I had them at the start of the season and nothing I've seen has since has changed my mind.

Lopetegui could keep them up & their owners seem to have ambitions of climbing the table shown by their transfer business the summer. Think they are possibly more attractive than us on that basis.

I think he’s holding out for a United or Chelsea personally: he has been there and done it with a relegation scrap, so I’m not sure a Bournemouth or an Everton would be appealing to him.

Brentford might be but it’s going to take a lot for them to pull the plug on Frank.

Never in a million years going to get either of those jobs though is he?

Don’t see why not: he got us into relatively good form and has won a Europa League title.

The worry on Bournemouth will be similar to what has happened to us though.
Spent a lot under the new owners and FFP issues won't be far behind them.

Why? He's a well known, top manager, both those teams seem to be just working their way through those and hope they get a hit eventually.

I think Everton are facing similar problems too despite new ownership. TBF Chelsea are undoubtedly going to get a transfer ban soon too after spending a billion in about 18 months.

Not before they spend the rumoured £500m budget for January

Both clubs demanding of attacking football, which isn't really Lopetegui's style.

Sacked by Real Madrid & only had success with sides 'punching above their weight.'

Likely see names like Zidane being touted for those kind of jobs.

Depends what they want I suppose. He’s capable of going in and stabilising both - which they need more than anything at the moment.

I’m sure Everton’s owners had some involvement with Sevilla so maybe that’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

Winning a Europa League is a little 'beneath them' though isn't it. They'd want league & CL winning coaches. Spurs fans turned their noses up at him FFS lol.

It’s also a question of who could afford him. We were paying out £10m per season for him and his coaching staff and that would be a lot for any other relegation threatened side.

That's a fair point but maybe those clubs need to suck up their ego and accept they need a different way. I'm hoping they both carry on as they are and eventually implode tbh.

But Man U currently employ a manager who has fewer credentials than Lopetegui, and the one before that was even worse. I could easily see him there soon.

Man Utd would definitely employ him.

They also seemed to think they had Milan 89 players and were being held back by Gazball. I beg to differ.
