More abuse directed against those of us happen to live near trees. Look what Brexit is doing to this country.

Am I allowed to express a view in winter when the leaves have fallen?
The leaves are very brown though. Descending all over our once proud nation.

I live and work in the most multicultural city in the country. Am I allowed an opinion?

Hey, I'm playing devil's advocate here but I guess it's not Tower Hamlets? That's the point he's making (Heathtown) regardless of how each of us represent our thoughts.

Perhaps there is a detachment of the 'poorer' left of centre voters to the wealthier 'left of centre voters'. It's apparent on here anyway - maybe that's why Miliband was at pains to point out those who have immigration concerns are not racist/xenophobic. Seems lost on a few you - hence the silly games.

I live in a multicultural area, my children go to a school which is described by Ofsted as 49% none white. My daughter doesn't distinguish between the colour of the skin of her friends, it is no more relevant in the way that she would describe them than the colour of their eyes and hair. I'm not sure she would describe them as her 'Black' or 'Asian' friends she'd probably use their names instead. She is a generation and a half younger than Progwolf I'll be delighted when her outlook on the world is the norm rather than his.

Plenty of people with "immigration concerns" are very definitely racist and should be called out as such. A telltale sign is when they start banging on about the rights of white people when complaining about EU immigration. The whole "working class" thing is a lot of bollocks. If I was working class, (and I'm not obviously, I've a small tree in the garden) I'd be horrified to find that I'd been co-opted in the cause of the right wing xenophobia we've seen in recent months and years.

Perhaps it could be clarified as to what percentage of brown people you need to live near before you're allowed an opinion.

I get your point Prog until you start going on about non-white areas which has SFA to do with EU immigration. Sad that.

Shouldn't we be asking ourselves why Non-White areas still exist in England in 2017 ?

I was commenting on Immigration, including from the EU and I made that point to highlight the fact that for many, there is still no integration. Would you not agree that Muslims, for whatever reason, have isolated themselves more than Hindu's or Sikh's for example. We see a lot more black and white people integrating now than ever before. Yes it took a while for things to change, and that was when Immigration involved smaller numbers over a much longer period of time.

Where I live, there are people of different colours and various religions and backgrounds, and we have all happily existed together for years. There are very few that are happy with the idea that anyone can come here from Eastern Europe in such large numbers.

Well, judging by that post I am afraid you clearly are a racist bastard.

I am middle class by upbringing and live in the not necessarily leafy suburb of Pendeford. It is inclusive and I am proud to live where I do.

Pendeford Park by any chance ? Semi or Big Detached ? Why don't you buy a house on the Dovecote Estate ? Perhaps you are one of the hypocritical bastards that preach one thing and practice another ?

If you don't like brown people then why vote for something that will increase non white immigration?

Why do people like you always say things like that ? It's pathetic. Where did I say that I don't like brown people ?
Where do you live then ? Tell us about your muliticultural background and how you live in a road where you have a friend
from several EU Countries ? It's ok if you have some brown friends too.

If you wait a while I might start a post with the sentence, "I'm not a racist but......."

What a load of shit! More shit about Middle Class Leafy Suburbia, and people should move to different towns if they love immigration. Rambling, prejudiced nonsense

You won't mind telling us you are not the same as Tim Farron then ? You know all about talking shit.

OK, you dont dislike brown people you just think areas with a lot of them are a bit shit. For presumably entirely unrelated reasons.

Right next to Dovecotes. But not in it. Anyway, I have black, asian, white, families all around me in my little street.
