I was poking paddy regarding his reply and his attitude. Paddy , a lawyer, complaining that people utilising a loophole was disgraceful, I found rather ironic and a tad amusing if not hypocritical.

My passport view remains unchanged. If you can do it you should do it just to keep your options open

Becuase, at the moment we dont know what we dont know and why would any human not keep their options open regardless of their vote? I cant be arsed to go down the irish passport route. Thats a fair enough reason. But expecting people not to because of some moral reason like they voted out I just find completely naive. So a load of EU officials have applied for irish/EU passports. If they are entitled, fair play, can't blame them.

I can get one (Irish father) and am in the process of getting one, and one for my kids as well. But then I'm as remain as they come and I value(d) my EU citizenship. Leavers didn't value that and you'd think they be happy to be without it. Spot on. I’m currently trying to encourage my mum to get an Irish passport so I can get one. It’s not easy tracking birth certificates down from the 1890s in Ireland.

I would love it if you would converse with me. All you do is rant, swear and increase your blood pressure. You seem determined to take every conversation personally and pretty much any post of mine seems to set you off. Which is a shame.
