REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Am I missing something or were people expecting it to be passed and then agreed by the EU?

I think you're missing something. I expected her to put her deal back to parliament, be voted on by MP's (and rejected) and for May and Parliament to come up with a plan for either no deal, extension of A50 in time, 2nd referendum or withdrawal A50.

At the moment she's playing chicken with her agreement and the rest of the country.

That's why it's shameful.

She's obliged to hold a vote. Cowardly shithouse that she is, she's running away. Again.

Anyway, we might get a 21 month extension to our membership according to some sources. Contingent on us basically starting again (which will mean the end of the old wicked witch, thank Christ).

Polls in this country are often wrong due to what is pleasantly called the "shy Tory" phenomenon, I can think of some alternatives but won't bother. Brexit polls experienced something similar. Our exits polls are now the most accurate

We've just had the official email about International travel if there's a no-deal brexit situation.

For those of us with UK passports, travel between Ireland and the UK is fine, but anywhere else in the EU will require a visa which has a 2-3 month processing time.
Brilliant. Thanks a lot David Cameron you fucking moron.

Really? When was that agreed?

No idea. It's in relation to travel for business though. I guess it becomes the default process if there is no other process in place.

The government may promise its assessment of the impact of a no-deal Brexit promised to Anna Soubry (see 11.07am) as early as tomorrow, HuffPost’s Paul Waugh reports.

@paulwaugh
No10 says documents on no deal promised to @Anna_Soubry will be published "very shortly" and before the Weds vote. Prob tmrw

This will be interesting when produced if the assessments are as bad as some fear. If they are then any sane thinking politician should back the calls for a 2nd referendum or even better still just cancel the whole thing.

I remember the last set of 'assessments' they published after much prodding. Cribbed from Wikipedia for the most part, pitiful work.

Labour have announced that they will back a second referendum
