REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

They STILL think the threat will either a) force a significant number of Tories to hold their nose and vote for the deal, as it's better than crashing out or b) cause the EU to offer us further concessions as no deal is also a bit shit for them (though nothing like on the scale that it would be for us).

Basically they're gamblers. Very very very bad gamblers. Because neither of those two things will happen.

If the government is supporting start up business with that kind of money I'll have some of that too.

I think the EU are between a rock and a hard place personally.

A). They will either need to make enough concessions for a 'deal' to go through parliament, in which case it will put them at a significant disadvantage V the UK in relation to trade.
or, B). Risk a no deal Brexit, and lose 39 billion pay-off and risk losing a big marketplace for it's goods and it can't afford to do that.

I think you will see some concessions from the EU.

Seaborne Freight T&C's appear to be a C&P from a Takeaway company

Free Bag of Prawn Crackers with every ferry?

Who is the delivery driver? The captain?

I'm sure it is the Captain's responsibility to make sure that the ferry is "delivered" to the correct location

Blimey. That Seaborne deal just gets dodgier and dodgier. Is it true that Mr Bamford is the director?

EU GDP is 18.8 trillion dollars, or 15 trillion pounds.

So 39 billion is a quarter of one percent.....

People are actually going to die because of this shit. I ain't going to be forgiving any of the 17.4m who caused this.

Edit - accidental upside, a lot of the gammon contingent will be dependent on prescriptions. The racist fuckers might just die off.

How the fuck do you "brace yourself" if you can't get hold of vital medication?

Good old British spirit and stiff upper lip mentality should see you through, that's what the Brexiteers say anyway isn't it?

Well if my Father in Law has a gap in his medication then he will simply brace himself by passing away...and in some pain as well.

But you know, we got through 2 World Wars so this will be a breeze.

My wife too

Of course! He will be fine and live until 150 years old once we leave the EU.

The cynic in me says that's propaganda at its finest from the Government. Put it on social media and watch the panic in the hope it will force MP's railing against this ghastly deal to vote for it.

And if they do May will be hailed as a saviour (peace in our time etc.) and if they don't vote for it the MP's will be painted as letting the country die. Of course when the deal fails to get through they'll have to abandon Brexit, kick it down the road for another 2 years or hold a 2nd referendum.

We've paid for this propaganda which is what pisses me off.

It's exactly this.

Some MP's won't give a flying fuck though. Leave means leave even if that means seriously putting folk at risk. Will of the people and all that jazz.
