REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Think my favourite thing I have seen today on Twitter is Lord Digby Jones, who voted to end freedom of movement, kicking off that the EU will introduce a €7 visa fee for Brits travelling into the EU. He thinks that is a disgrace and as all Brexiters seem to do on Twitter, waffled on about the War.

Who would have thought that ending free movement would mean no free movement. Scenes indeed

Lord Digby Jones
‏So the EU are going to charge Brits €7 to travel to Member States after Brexit. Just a thought.......did any of them want to charge my Great-uncle Thomas in 1917 or my wife’s Dad or uncle in 1944?

Lord Digby Jones
‏And the Remainers want a 2nd Referendum to get us to stay with this load of bullies do they?!

I notice he mentions a relative and his wife's family but no one from his direct family... Were they afraid to enter Europe.

Government sending out 144,000 letters to businesses advising them of what to do in the event of a no deal brexit, also putting 3500 troops(some of which will be reservists who'll get their call up papers in January) on stand by to assist government departments, bit vague but as we know now,who needs stuff like details, just make shit up and wing it.

Raab wants to spend the £39b we won't pay the EU in the event of a no deal on business rate cuts. Don't remember seeing that on the side of the bus

Tbf the nhs has already been guaranteed an extra £350m per week, so this is extra £39bn of spare money being put to good use

Ive often thought that an incompetent Tory would be better than a competent one, as at least they'd fail to deliver on their horrible agenda, but this is insane.

Theresa May is worse than Thatcher: discuss
Interesting. Thatcher was ideologically driven and had no feeling, compassion or empathy for any person or community that got in the way of that. Until the end when she went truly loopy she was a very effective politician if you take away personal thoughts on the politics.

May has become obsessed with power and clinging on to it, putting her own personal ambition ahead of Party or country. It's become a stubborn project where she is desperately trying to avoid the political epitaph of worst ever Prime Minister as she can't be enjoying her job, nobody is that masochistic.

At the moment Thatcher wins as calculated destruction of communities and livelihoods is worse than incompetance, but if May does somehow allow us to no deal in March, she'll probably edge it.

I know we're Brexiting, but we're still going to keep the concept of 'days'.

My favourite Brexit quote of recent weeks courtesy of my work colleague:

I am looking forward to Parliament shoving her deal so far up her arse she’ll be farting backstops for a month.

Pathetic in PMQs again. Now refusing to rule out a further delay on the MPs vote beyond that set out. Kicking the fucking can AGAIN.

No amount of shite pantomime based puns get around the fact that the woman is a disgrace and should be removed before she does any more fucking damage.

Corbyn also appears to have called May a stupid woman. The most factually accurate thing said in PMQs in decades.

Giffed it for ya!

Indeed - and now he's stooped to that level, what will we see plastered all over the media for the next few days? It won't be the shambolic behaviour of the government that should rightly be pilloried - but a stupid comment made off the cuff that does nobody any favours.

Sick to fucking death of the lot of them.

Ahhh so it turns out he said 'stupid people' and not 'stupid woman'.

Best talk about that instead then.
