REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Don't bother. It doesn't matter how many posters explain that his 84% thing is a $#@!ing load of fallacious balderdash, he is going to continue posting it.

Because it is true, leaving the EU and no freedom of movement are there in black and white in the manifesto.

And many remain voters will have voted labour for all the OTHER things in there for christ's sake.

Yes but the remain voters who voted Labour didn't think that Brexit was the most important issue, otherwise they would have voted for a party that did put Brexit as the most important thing.
A remain voter who voted Labour is subconsciously accepting the referendum result and accepts we are leaving and there won't be another referendum. That is good news, because it means many more people think that Brexit is no longer the main issue.
I still think a petition saying we voted for you but we didn't vote for the part that doesn't suit us, is really pathetic.

YOU WON GET OVER IT

How bizarre that once again you are telling people how they voted. I voted Labour because of their positive campaign , policies that I agree with, a man I think is principled (certainly compared to other leaders) not because they aren't going to hold a second referendum.

No.

It means that people with a modicum of sense can actually distinguish between a binary referendum and a general election with manifestos on a multitude of issues.

BREXIT was not an issue in this election at all, bar the foul harridan telling us how she was the best at dealing with it. We actually voted on other things.

Plus I don't want a second referendum

I want the whole thing called off full stop. Pointless votes mean fuck all.

LIAR

A man in Spain with his head inside an olive who you have never met KNOWS you voted because of Brexit. If you didn't you would have either not voted or tried to persuade someone to set up a new party to offer 100% of the policies you require.

Many people voted Labour because they believe in their policies. I myself did this. However if you are a remain supporter and you voted Labour, it means you accept that it is over with and we are leaving without a second referendum and also that the outcome won't be so catastrophic as people said it was going to be.

Why would you vote for something that you thought would be catastrophic? Obviously you wouldn't, would you?

Hahaha but if Brexit is the armageddon you were all saying it was, why did you vote for a party that is going not only to leave the single market, but also stop free movement of people?
You obviously don't think it was so bad, otherwise you would have voted for a party that would have another referendum.

I've discovered the ignore function, is there a way of ignoring quoted posts?

On some other forums the ignore function doesn't even stretch to Tapatalk, not sure about here.

Accepting that something is happening doesn't mean that you don't think it'll be a bad outcome.

If I slipped off the edge of a hundred storey building then I'd soon accept that there was no way for me to make it back to the safety of the roof, but I'd sure as hell know there was no positive outcome for me at the bottom. People haven't warmed to the concept of Brexit en masse, you probably could've done with that correction a few days ago but better late than never, but they've accepted the result and are resigned to their fate. Sure some diehard anti-Brexit souls will battle on and fruitlessly throw their vote at the Lib Dems clinging to the hope of a second referendum but most know that that would just be a waste of time, voting for LD that is rather than a second referendum, they're just never going to get into power to enact that policy anyway.

The election was for all intents and purposes post-Brexit, the argument is over for majority of people, it doesn't matter if they voted leave or remain, they've accepted the outcome and voted in this election based on a completely different argument. That doesn't mean they don't think Brexit will hurt the UK.

Can you stop being a massive tit and read what people are saying. Stop deciding what I or anyone else on here thinks. You moan about being called a WUM but your behaviour today is that of one.

You state your view/opinion on what people did in the GE (fair enough, no issues there)
People on here tell you no your view is wrong based on pretty solid facts (I.e there actually reasons)
You then carry on telling people no you are wrong you did this because of this reason inside my head over and over and over.

Tiresome and frankly if it were up to me I would either deleting you or every thread you take over with shit you post deciding what people are doing.

You are a fucking WUM, so do us all the pleasure of sticking up for your principles (you know the time you said you leaving the forum and not coming back...then came back because I presume Jesus & Juan finally snapped and told you to stop talking to them so back online you came)

Stop telling people what their vote means to them. I'm not going to insult you, or argue with you. But stop it.
