It seems to me that the world has changed but a lot of people haven't changed with it and are yearning for the unobtainable vision they have in their heads of how they believe the world used to be. Once we have left the EU we are not suddenly going to go back to this rose tinted utopia. Maybe we can then start blaming Muslims for all our problems instead once we realise it wasn't all the EU's fault after all.
It's ok. We can take cotton from India and process it in our Northern mills and sell them blankets. What's not to like?It seems to me that the world has changed but a lot of people haven't changed with it and are yearning for the unobtainable vision they have in their heads of how they believe the world used to be. Its OK, because we were told countries like Australia will be queuing up to trade with us...
Err. No.:
OK, so thats your basis for your five predictions - you just need to boil them down to something concrete. Off you go.
How can any of us offer anything concrete ? It's all supposition based on opinion.
I don't know if the EU will crumble but some people think it will and will give their reasons why.
Only time will tell if they are proved to be correct.
You think that the UK Leaving the EU will be a disaster, but that's still just your opinion.
You cannot offer anything concrete on that can you ?
One of my biggest regrets was voting for Tony Blair in 1997, I just didn't realise what a huge mistake it was at the time.
Prior to that everyone was telling us how fantastic he would be and he won by a Landslide. He probably won the other two Elections because the Tories were unelectable back then, a bit like Labour are now.
Who could have predicted that he would take us into Iraq and Afghanistan with his mate George Bush ?
We vote the way we think is right at the time. Based on my research I think I have made the right choice this time.
If my wife suddenly declared that she wanted us to move to Bolton tomorrow, I'd like to know why she thought that was the best thing for our family and how our lives would improve.
Yeah, but lots of brown people live there though. You'd need to ask her how leafy it was too. You can't move somewhere that doesn't meet your required tree quota.
It will be interesting to see how Brexiteers react when we sign a movement of people deal with the BRIC countries, more brown people for them to moan about taking their jobs (or in Papper's case, to force people into work).
You forgot to mention Hitler. For people like you, when we talk about Immigration, he always finds his way into your rationale.
"Listen, if you want to discuss your concerns about Immigration, you are clearly a racist bastard and Hitler would be proud of you".
