REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

So 6 - 9% of 5.3% of the UK population who have EU passports were born outside of the EU and they all live in Cambridge? Thanks.

I am glad that the Lords voted to protect EU nationals who live in the UK. Who is arguing for the rights of expats who live in the EU? Shouldn't the EU guarantee our rights? I am fine, but some British people will feel that the EU has done nothing to guarantee Expats rights.

Who gives a fuck you don't live here and we're out of the EU. Essentially you're dead to us....isn't that what you voted for?

Unelected chamber amending the government's Bill? #enemiesofthewillofthepeople

Read again Johnny. I am fine, there are many British people who live in the EU, who have no guarantee from the EU they can carry on living with their families in the EU. Surely you would agree with the EU guaranteeing UK citizens rights, who live in the EU, that they can continue living there. Quite often you shout before you think.

You lost the vote. Get over it.

I always said I agreed that the UK should say that EU nationals, should be able to continue to live here. So I didn't lose the vote. Was there any mention in the ammendment for UK nationals living in the EU,? Do you think it is wrong that the EU haven't given assurances to UK citizens living in the EU?

Perhaps you didn't understand my illiterate friend. I don't care. You won the vote you deal with it.

I don't think the UK government can legislate for another territory, unless they did so via the EU. That might be thorny at the mo...

No I don't.

No answer again, Johnny. You ask questions and insult, but don't give answers. Surely you think the EU should give the same rights to UK citizens as you want the UK to give EU nationals?

No I don't.

Shameful but at least you answered part of the question.
Don't you think the EU should give the same assurances to UK citizens living in the EU? was the other question

I've answered this many pages back and we've done this argument to death when it came up several weeks ago. The EU parliament may well decide either way, it really isn't up to me and frankly I really do not care. If those UK ex-pats are forced to take up residency in the country they are currently in then I wouldn't have a problem with that. Equally if our Lords make the same caveat. A dual passport system may well be the answer.

Trying to get me to slate the EU for something that hasn't happened is painfully transparent and not very well done. How about coming up with some solutions instead of always trying to slate the EU all the time? It's boring.

So why do you care about EU nationals in the UK, but not UK in EU? After all we are all human beings. I stand up for what I believe is right and believed the rights for EU nationals was important to get sorted so the EU nationals could have peace of mind. I wasn't interested in which side I voted for, I thought for myself, try it sometime.

Maybe you could address my solution? Just for once you could try and debate a point? Maybe?

Don't you dare call my response shameful given the shite you post. How fucking dare you.

You've avoided answering questions for months. You then threw your toys out the pram and ceased posting. The thread then became interesting with genuine discussion.

And further, I did answer your question.

You are trying to change the subject, Johnny. Try having a little empathy for the poor British people who are going to bed tonight and aren't sure of their future in the EU. Just try being decent and fuck politicians. Say the EU should stop using EU nationals as bargain chips. Go on Johnny, it will be good for you to think freely instead of being in an echo chamber.

It was shameful and you need to take at look at yourself.

The EU should guarantee those rights and I fully expect them to.

However as this is a situation of OUR making it is up to US to make the first move, not the EU. That May had no intention of doing so and has had to be pushed into it by the Lords sums her up, a vile piece of work.
