REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

It will be interesting to see if Brexiteer's devotion to 'THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE' remains when the people change their minds.

They won't in the short term. It may be a clusterfuck since June but about 80% of the doom has yet to come to pass. Now Trump getting in might save the Tories bacon on brexit as I think we will get a huge deal. Don't be surprised to see dodge Jeep Chevrolet or Chrysler getting a factory over here for the European market given trumps latest threatened levy. Also le Pen is still challenging in France, Greece is still bust, migrants are still an issue, Merkel has been challenged on policy, Holland still has over 50% wanting to leasve in a recent poll, no our brexit may be a mess but the EU was and still is in a mess. This is tread water year. Keep calm and carry on.

Of course Chrysler will jump at the chance of investing billions in a new plant in the UK for access to the EU market that we are about to leave.

Who knows? It depends on trade deals and its too early to say.As far as I was aware the USA was never part of the EU so it makes fuck all difference to them us lklkeaving. There is no such thing as mates rates!

This was the year that the world was going to end, it hasn't.

World won't end but we'll almost certainly be a much diminished country than before. Unless at this late late hour you can explain in what way - any way, any tiny little thing - life will improve for the majority of people outside of the EU.

Mrs May added: "It would, to all intents and purposes mean not leaving the EU at all. That is why both sides in the referendum campaign made it clear that a vote to leave the EU would be a vote to leave the single market."

Yet another blatant lie.

Of course so what makes you think that they will be offering us a huge deal?

I can hardly believe that the PM is now using the phrases and words that I've been mocked for using for years. Real progress. Nigel Farage..

Yet another blatant lie.

Donald Trump hopes to make Brexit a "great thing" by offering Britain a "fair" trade deal soon after he enters office. It can't be done before we leave the EU - That's at least two years away which isn't soon and a fair deal isn't the huge one that you mention

He also said he wants a trade deal settled between the two countries "very quickly" At least two years away

I'd also like to know why the Protectionist Mr Trump, who is insisting on higher tariffs for imports into the US will suddenly change this policy when it comes to UK goods?

If you are hanging your case on the $#@! spewed from Trump's mouth good luck to you.

President isn't he? My case has never hung on Trump or May or Merkel. Its about making money. Whether you are brexit or remain its fact that the money men fall on their feet 90% of the time so I can't see how this will end up any differently. You'll pay more for some stuff, less for others. You may be a little worse off, you may be a little better. I just hear all this doom gloom dispair and dispondency and think wtf? It must just be me but I can't get upset or excited about it all hence my lack of posts. I have far to much living to do!

To produce thousands of cars that they can't sell because well, they're not very good and look like shit.
