QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

PPB's would be ;

If out the tin then Oxtail. If homemade then my mushroom soup.

A sunrise.

Absolutely yes :)

Darlaston, West Midlands.

Telling me " I was loving it " !!

Helped make and put a stairway in. Having never done one before, a very proud moment at the end .

We can no longer be friends. :(

Favourite kind of soup ? I love soup (not in this weather though). I'll go for oxtail but I normally have 3-4 different types a week when the temperature is "normal".

What do you appreciate more, a spectacular sunrise, or a beautiful sunset ? A quality sunrise on a matchday Saturday is fucking brilliant, so that.

Are you a ' dunker ' ? No, biscuits with tea, not biscuits in tea.

Worst place you have ever lived ? A couple of hovels in Manchester but for sheer tedium spending the summer in Spalding with my ex was interminably dull. It wasn't *awful*, just not a very exciting place and absolutely nothing else around for miles. I don't like being hemmed in like that, I'm a city man.

Would you rather wake up naked, sore and without any memory of the night before, either next to The Burger King telling you " You had it your way " OR wake up naked next to Ronald McDonald telling you that " You were loving it " ? It'd have to be the King, I don't fancy getting Ronald's makeup off my sheets.

Ever made anything with your own hands that you were extremely proud of ? No! I'm so impractical with stuff like that. Anything manual like DIY, gardening, painting, I am completely useless.

Favourite kind of soup ? Scotch Broth

What do you appreciate more, a spectacular sunrise, or a beautiful sunset ? Sunrise in Lincolnshire are beyond belief.

Are you a ' dunker ' ? Guilty as charged.

Worst place you have ever lived ? Smethwick

Would you rather wake up naked, sore and without any memory of the night before, either next to The Burger King telling you " You had it your way " OR wake up naked next to Ronald McDonald telling you that " You were loving it " ? Can I pass on this one?

Ever made anything with your own hands that you were extremely proud of ? A clay toby jug. Pottery was not my greatest subject, but I excelled with this.

:icon_lol: Not sure what its like these days Mark, but back in 1986 when I moved there it was not a pleasant place to be. I lost count of the number of times we would wake up to the car windows smashed in, the shed broke into , neighbours broken into, plants and trees ripped from gardens, and it goes on. Not just us, but the whole of the street. It was a scary place to be , especially when I used to have to stay in the house at night on my own.

It's a nothing town, there's fuck all to do here but i've never thought of it as a scary place to live, there's a few shit areas no doubt but then every town has that.

Where about did you used to live?

I love soup too in the Winter. Weird , but depending on what soup it is makes me choose between having it in a bowl or a mug. For instance if its got lumps or bits in, it belongs in a bowl. If its smooth like Tomato then it goes in a mug to be ' drunk ' :)

Favourite kind of soup ? Chunky vegetable

What do you appreciate more, a spectacular sunrise, or a beautiful sunset ? Both can be spectacular

Are you a ' dunker ' ? No - don't like bits in my drink

Worst place you have ever lived ? Never lived anywhere horrible, though have worked in a few round South London (West Croydon/Thornton Heath/ Peckham/Bermondsey)

Would you rather wake up naked, sore and without any memory of the night before, either next to The Burger King telling you " You had it your way " OR wake up naked next to Ronald McDonald telling you that " You were loving it " ? You've really outdone yourself with this one PPB. One of your dreams maybe?

Ever made anything with your own hands that you were extremely proud of ? Like DW I am hopeless - though I can decorate well enough

.

Where about did you used to live?

It was called Victoria Mews back then, it was a new estate ( little 2 bed houses ) and believe me it was no ' Mews ' !! Not far from Asda , if its still there. I agree, most places have bad areas, just that I never felt safe there . Lived there from about 1986 to 90.

Parkin, then you aint dunking right ! Theres an art to it. Knowing the exact moment to withdraw is key :)

:icon_lol: No not a dream, but the Burger King is way too creepy looking. Plus Id rather be told that I was loving it than Id had it my way !!!

Ronald McDonald is a clown. You can't get more creepy than that.

That's not particularly far from where i live, i wouldn't have that down as particularly bad area to live, though i can't say as i've ever actually been onto that estate myself.

I like my quiet corner of Darlaston.

What's your favourite Sunday dinner ?

Mine would be two pints down the local and back to roast chicken, mash, roast tata ,roast parsnip and veg and stuffing.

How do you relax ?

In a bath, reading, or floating on my back in the pool .

Thanks gents, we have moved on from the superstitious 13th page. Thanks to all who were willing to join in and reveal a bit about themselves :)
Roast chicken, roast & mash spuds, stuffing, peas sweetcorn & a small amount of carrots & beans.
Reading, music, tending to what I'm trying to grow, bowling, TWF, walking.

Pea & Ham. Am a fan of the heinz big soups too. Love tomato soup, & recently had it with toast for the first time in yonks & that was stellar!
Rare I'm awake in time for a sunrise, so have to go with sunset. Saw a glorious one recently too - posted on the happy or really like thread.
Good lord no. PLF is bang on here.
Never lived in a nasty place. Quite happy with all choices. Did stay at home for university though, so cheated...
Erm...
Proud of almost everything I make with my own hands. Love the veg I grow. Stuff I've made I have a closer bond with, & still have almost all of it - couple of items of furniture & the like. I also found out my old dissertation from uni when I moved, & intend re-reading it.

As I say, no idea what its like these day as I have never been back to that area since I moved. Whether it was because it was a new estate back then , a certain group of people had a bit of ' fun ' with it. We had a company car at the time and the company were that pissed off with the damage that we had two options, take the car off us, or park it somewhere else and not on the estate .

where abouts do you live ?
