QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

A couple of you have said Ready Salted, I can't remember the last time I had a pkt. Always tend to pick a flavour over plain.

If you could time travel, would you go into the past or into the future? Past - history is written by the victors so would like to see what really happened

Tell a ' Knock Knock ' joke

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Harry.
Harry who?
Harry up, it’s cold out here!

Do you like Guacamole? can't remember what it tastes like

Last film you watched that played on your mind after watching it? can't think of one

Would you personally rather win an Olympic medal, Nobel Peace Prize, or see Wolves win the Prem? you get money for a Nobel prize, but a Wolves Premier win (though at my age they seriously need to get on with it!)

If you could change one law, which would you change and why? like others the euthanasia issue - have seen a number go without having proper palliative care, though will need real safeguards on it

Can you remember what colour socks you put on this morning without having to look? yes - black with an orange heel & toe (like to think that it is Old Gold not orange :icon_biggrin:)

What's your fav flavour crisps at the moment?

Salt & vinegar

Parkin, we very nearly could be mistaken for twins today. I have my lucky socks on, black with a coppery orange heel and toe :)

What are you all missing the most during these times? Normality

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times? Working and then getting frustrated at home as I'm not allowed to touch anything or go within 2 metres of anyone

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times? Online shopping? - I need to eat before May.

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times? No different - I drink just 3/4 bottles of beer at home per week

Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise? Did on Sunday - Apart from supermarket waiting and dashing nothing more

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise? Not all of us are at home all day - work is still continuing

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times? Not really - still knackered

...

What are you all missing the most during these times? Friends and family.
Especially the little ones. In a month or so, bowls will be added onto that list, as the season will be written off imo. Sport in general obvs. But friends and family is the main thing.

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?
All those little jobs and things I have been meaning to do for such a long time! mrs jelly has finally got around to building her dolls house (she's had it a few years), and an embroidery kit that she's had for approaching a decade was dug out the other day. Board games and the like (connect 4, downfall, and scrabble have been the most popular so far). Listening to a hell of a lot more music nowadays!
Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?
Still going to the shops for food. However, doing everything we can to limit these trips to once a week or even further apart if possible.
Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?
Yes, as I never drink at home, and peeps from the royal london will testify I am a complete lightweight with drinking anyway. Certainly smoking more than usual though.
Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise?
No.
Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?
No. Have reduced portion sizes though, to make things last, and also as I am not as physically active as usual.
Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?
No. I've tried to keep things as they usually are. With working from home I am still up close to the usual time, and preparing for the day. Instead of heading off on the bike, I'm able to have a cuppa with mrs jelly. Getting to have breaks and lunch with her is nice though.

Really missing matchdays, and awful not knowing exactly when the next one will be.

Busy painting and decorating, new staircase, gardening when weather allows, jig saws, more Facebook than I would usually!, letter writing, laying floor in loft. Lots to do and lots that needs doing tbh.

Online shopping.

Less. Nothing in the house so coffee is my strongest drink during these times.

Not going out to parks etc or walking the roads. Do exercise in the house instead. Or garden, again weather permitting.

I find I'm eating less, don't look forward to meal times, and sometimes it can be 2ish before I think about getting anything.

Sleeping pattern changed, I'd say yes. Find myself wide awake at 3ish. Also dreaming the weirdest shit imaginable :icon_lol:

What are you all missing the most during these times?

Football, friends, anything to look forward to.

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?

A bit more gaming than normal, a bit more reading than normal.

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?

Had a delivery last week but there aren't any slots any time soon. So having to top up every now and then, fortunately we have several options here.

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?

About the same, I don't have much at home. Obviously I'm not out on a matchday so that's all been cut out and not replaced.

Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise?

Nope, I only go out if I have to. Seems a needless risk to me.

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?

No, I've spent years getting myself into decent nick, I'm not wrecking it now.

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?

Pretty much the same though motivating myself to get up at the normal time is more difficult as I have nothing to do. None of the days have any structure or meaning at all.

DW, who was your delivery with? We got a slot with Asda, once you have a slot it asks if you want to keep a weekly slot. Works a treat.

Asda....but I don't need to be buying every week (couldn't afford that either).

Nowt on there for the next fortnight which is as far as it goes. Not that I need it now but I might do later in the month.

What are you all missing the most during these times?
Pub and football

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?
Netflix

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?
One big shop a week and a couple of trips to the Co Op for bread, milk etc

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?
A lot less. I spend too much time in pubs, but don't really drink much at home

Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise?
Yes to walk the dog

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?
Not really

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?
Sleeping a lot better due to the lack of alcohol

Yes that's a point, only so much one person can eat in a week. Saying that though my mom can eat like an Oss.

What a great idea to resurrect this thread!

What are you all missing the most during these times?

My parents, my friends, the pub and football! No idea how people who live alone are coping - I would be struggling I think.

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?

My working day isn't too dissimilar, watching a lot of Netflix shows with the better half. The house is very tidy too!

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?

Our local shop still has pretty much everything in stock and it's never busy - we don't take the piss and go every day though.

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?

More! Got plenty of beer and wine ordered in.

Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise?

Yes - I'm trying to go out for at least 2 runs per week and if I don't do that, I'll join the others in taking the dog for his walk.

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?

No - but we are being rather adventurous with our evening meals. The slow cooker is getting plenty of use and we're really enjoying Jamie Oliver's daily show.

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?

Nope - probably the same as usual.

What are you all missing the most during these times?
Football mainly as I pretty much only watch sport at home, usually football.

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?
I've still been going to work until today so not much really. Played computer games a lot over the weekend while trying to ignore Disney+ being on my TV constantly

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?
Still going to Tesco, about twice a week. Just getting bits and bobs to see us through 3-4 days.

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?
My drinking has really slowed down over the last 12 months or so, don't really drink at home anymore so has probably slowed a little as only really drank on matchdays.

Are you using your 1 daily outside exercise?
Nope lol

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?
The days I've been here not really, I've been taking the time to eat better as I have more time to prepare and cook food rather than just eat whatever as i have no time!

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?
Weirdly I've been waking earlier, probably because I'm not running around at work and am sat down most of the day now so not tiring myself out!

What are you all missing the most during these times?
Just the meeting up with folk for a fizzy drink. I generally class myself as someone who isn't keen on being a social type...turns out I am a bit. Oddly I am not missing football that much.

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?

Planning the house move is passing a fair chunk of the time

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?
Actually received a smashing box of meat from a Bilston based butcher today. The fridge and freezer is well stocked should the panic buying kick in again. Outside of that, not much else online

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?

I don't drink that much tbh. I purchased 8 cans a couple of weeks ago and I think I still have 6 left in the fridge.

Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise?
No change on that as I walk the dogs each day.

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?
Yes. I am a terrible boredom eater....and looking at me I have to presume I am bored most of the year

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?
Nope

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?
I don't drink that much tbh.

Funny, I could have sworn I saw you in bars at 4am more than once :icon_lol:

Obviously I was just in there to ask directions or something.

Great to see posters responding to this thread again. I'd forgot all about it .

Interesting to read your replies.

Langers, we are also enjoying Jamie Oliver's show.

You know what I mean young man. I am an occasional drinker rather than someone who hits the ale a lot. I don't drink that much in the house, I think I have had 4 games this season where I have had a drink before kick off. I think that has made me enjoy the times I do go out for a drink

We'll make it up for it all when this is finished, I'm sure.

Hopefully before I'm 40...

What are you all missing the most during these times?

Football - meeting with friends/family - having my birthday holiday week with family cancelled - bowling season cancelled & again no football
God I sound depressed, though I'm not really, though as I am on my own have started talking to the cat with the benefit that she doesn't argue back much

What are you finding yourself doing to pass the time during these times?

Help run a charity so loads of work with that - had to close the shop down now, but been trying to set up a delivery service of essential supplies & access Gov't support to ensure that we are still there when this ends. Other than that 1 task per day or I will run out

Are you online shopping, or still going to the shops during these times?

Dorset has a lot of very old people (I'm only just into that category) so still going to the shops, but only rarely for basic perishables as have enough else in the freezer

Do you find yourself drinking less alcohol or more during these times?

No more & no less (apart from the fact that there are no matchdays for pub visits

Are you using your 1 daily outside excercise?

Try to go for a decent walk though not done this every day - have a decent sized garden so there is stuff to do out there

Being in the house all day do you tend to pick at food more than you would otherwise?

No

Has your sleeping pattern changed during these shit times?

Have tried to keep to the same routine as a structure to your life is important
