QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

Click and collect for us, dead easy to do and free too. Much easier than dragging 2 six year olds round tescos on a weekend.

Do they deliver the shopping in bags, boxes or what?

Bags. 40p now (flat fee) to have it all bagged up. You can have it without if you want.

After a little bit of a rant on facebook about all the bloody 5p for a carrier bag shit going on. Someone said ' I don't know anyone who does their own shopping these days, they do it all online 'So How many of you/or your partners, wives etc do all of your shopping online, every week??

Fruit I get from a greengrocers locally. They do local free range eggs too. Walking distance. I'll get veg too if it ain't harvesting season :)
Food & general groceries are also widely available within walking distance. I tend to top up shop once a week, with a big shop every 2 months or so.

Books/cd's are bought online. Records too - though I am still a sucker for record shops.

Clothes I'd only buy in person.

Most other stuff is in person as well.

Books I have bought online, as for record shops, I can't even remember the last time I went in one :(

Clothes mainly go to shops for, although have bought shoes and boots online.

Perfume buy online.

Sorry to mention the ' C ' word but Christmas presents I always shop for in person.

When I was married, we used to get it delivered every week, but I never do now. It's mainly because I've no idea what I want to cook so I'd rather peruse the shelves myself to think of things to do.

I might start getting it delivered again once I've tried enough recipes and know what works and what doesn't but at the mo, I have to brave the bloody general public.

We use online food shopping whenever we get money off vouchers emailed through (they tend to email you offers if you go awhile without doing an online shop.) The rest of the time my wife does it in person. What annoys me about doing it online is they always seem to substitute items every time, and they tend to give you items with really shit use by dates.

We found that differs depending on who you use. Tesco were better at substituting items than Sainsburys were.

And anyway - I'm finding that I have to be quite careful with some things I buy in order to save money. You really don't need certain items that are branded. Obviously with stuff like meat etc it's better to get decent quality, but I do save a lot just by buying a different brand on some things.

I always shop in Aldi or Lidl. We very rarely spend more than £30 a week (excluding alcohol) and that covers lunch and dinner every day for the week.

In and out within 20 minutes. I can't stand the big supermarkets.

We rarely buy branded products anyway, we can't afford them these days. The substitutions we get are, for example, if you order a particular flavour of something they'll swap for a different flavour which is annoying if you were looking forward to the thing you originally ordered! On the other hand, sometimes it works well if you get an upgrade and they match the price of the item you originally ordered.

I like Aldi & Lidl but my wife always says she can't do a complete shop in either and would have to go to one of the other supermarkets anyway to finish off the shop.

Same. We usually get the other bits at ASDA or failing that, Sainsbury's.

Fruit and veg from Giant Eagle. Other stuff from Walmart. Meat from Sam's Club, for the odd things we run out of then its down to Friedmans.

Whats a good name for a kitten? Suggestions please.
