QPR (A) - 28 October 2017 - MATCHDAY THREAD

Absolutely brilliant football between Jota & Bonatini but Leo sticks his shot in the stands when it looked easier to score. Very unlucky not to be ahead.

Why was it unlucky Jinky?
He def leaned back as he hit it, (Poor skill) or was it a poor bounce (unlucky)?

Unlucky in that the move deserved a goal. Poor finish from Leo, though.

Douglas whips a dangerous cross in but no one in the middle to get on the end of it. We're well on top now.

Wonder if playing QPR doesn't get our players up the same way playing City does. Nuno will be absolutely lighting them up if he senses that is the case.

Free header on the edge of the 6 yard box for QPR who should now be ahead.

Bright has come on for Leo.

Miranda got caught under the ball there but his jump put off Smith who booted it over.
Bright on for Bonatini.
Nuno trying to replicate mid week performances here, Come on Bright!

Now we've just cleared one off the line. Ruddy all over the shop. Came to the edge of his box to claim a ball, dropped it at the feet of Washington, who lifted it over Ruddy and our defenders but it's headed away for a corner on the line.

Christ, what's going on? Why are we struggling so much today?

Ruddy drops that high ball and Washington (thanks Jinky) about to lash it in from a bit wide as Coady flies in to clear it off the goal line but Batth and Coady have collided there with a clash of heads. And Bathh has a visible lump on his forehead as they try to keep QPR out. Corner comes to nothing as Coady tries clear but Luanga smacks it in to Ruddy's safe hands.

Jota jinking and turning smashes the ball but it's straight at the keeper. Every so often we light the place up usually with Jota holding the matches as Neves now tries to put us in front, the ball kept low but slightly wide.

Not gonna steamroller every game unfortunately. QPR are determined not to extend their shit run as well and they've stepped up their game.

More concerned with the amount of chances we've given up today tbh

Costa does really well with a decent run manages to keep it in and crosses it to Jota but Bright gets to it, swops feet and his shot is blocked.

And unfortunately for us, the prices (real or perceived) of our players provide instant poster material for opposition managers.

I can easily imagine Holloway using something like "they think they're better than you because they came from (insert big foreign club here)! They don't respect you! Go show them!"

Etc.
